If you live in Winchester TN. do not drink your tap water at all without boiling! It is filthy. Smell it. That is not the smell of earth. It is black water contaminants.

The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful. Easy to set up auto-pay through your bank. Just remember, this Utility does NOT include natural gas, so if you have Gas, you'll have to go to Elk River (in Winchester) to get that set up - and nobody will tell you that if you move here from a large city where everything is through one company. Easy to get in and out, and free parking. Wheelchair friendly.

Would give 0 stars but it wont let me. I went up there to show where I was getting help from Good Samaritan and a friend to cover the rest of my bill and the reconnect fee but they are saying because they haven't received the money and my friend used credit card that they couldnt come turn my power back on and i have 2 kids under the age of 7 and my girl is pregnant. I would change companies if i could so if you have a choice dont choose them

If I can give them 0 stars I would. My partner and I moved into a duplex on the 26th of may and went and set up water and electricity that same day. My partner went to put the bill in his name but had to run a credit check, and charged him for it, okay now big deal. Partner pays the fee and waits 15 minutes for them to come back with him with a receipt or something ( he was the only one in the waiting area this whole time) when they finally call him back up to the window only to inform him that the SS number he put down on the application was that of a 12 year old boys. He's very confused and asked them to please run it again, this time handing them his official SS card, ( that is the same number he put on the application) but they refused and said "we ran the number 3 times with the same results. How long have you had this SS number?" And he's like "um.. I'm whole life!" So he doesn't know what to do because it is his SS number, that he wrote down and gave them, and they are refusing to actually take his SS card ( even though it's the same number) and use that to make sure there is no further errors. So he calls me and I drive up there and he tells me what happens, and an equally confused, because days prior we have several places run both of our SS numbers for credit checks for getting a place. So I ask if they can just run mine instead. They said " you'll have to fill out an application as well and we'll also charge you to run your credit." Not gonna lie I was a little annoyed but I was just whatever, and I just fill out the application with all of my information and my SS info, pay them the money and 5 minutes later we have a receipt and we're good to go. Okay so now it's JULY 1rst. And I still haven't received a bill from them, so I call to make sure it'll be sent out this week. They tell me that they send all of their bills out the 17th of each month, and I should of gotten it the 17th. I said I did not receive the bill, they told me they need to make sure the post office received my info on where they sent my bill..... Which makes no sense to me. Because on my application I put where the address where I need the water and electricity turn on in my name, and where the billing address is (WHICH IS THE SAME ADDRESS)
