If you find yourself living in ward and using ward water you may want to install a camera on your meter box. They are notorious for not reading the meter and making up bills. My house was vacant for 1 month and i somehow managed to get a bill for that month for $128 about $20 less than a normal monthly billing cycle. It’s run like a mafia organization.

The worst water company ever, outrageous water bill, how is water higher than electricity? I’m pretty sure I don’t use that much water! If you’re looking to move to ward, don’t move here! As soon as I find a new place to live I’m outta here!

Don't move to Ward unless you want to pay an outrageous bill for water and sewer! Literally it's as high as my electric bill. My bill always gets high when a main water line breaks somewhere in Ward. Now they wanted to propose a new sewer tax increase. 🙄

Absolutely ridiculous water service. Stupid high prices for dirty water that routinely gets knocked out.

And then when their billing company fails to draft your auto-pay they shut your water off without calling. "OH our billing company sent out an email". As if I'm checking my email for a notice from the water company when they are supposed to autodraft.. and because they have an issue between them and their billing company, and are too lazy to contact people..I get to go without water and pay a late fee.. when if they had called, I would have gladly paid immediately. No grace period cause of their mishap, and repeatedly refused to even accept fault in any way, cause it's the billing company's fault. Well YOU still cut my water off.

They are awful cause they can get away with it since they sell a basic human necessity and there isn't another option. Truly corrupt.

Transfer process is unnecessarily tedious, requiring multiple paper documents and in-person trips to the office. New connection fee is laughably high when they didn’t even have to come out to turn on the water. It’s almost as if they know people are extremely limited in their options when selecting a water company and abuse that fact. It’s 2024, all other utilities were able to be transferred via a phone call and an email, but Ward Water makes you jump through unnecessary hoops and pay ridiculous fees for something as simple as tap water

Nor sure why there are so many complaints here. This was our first experience with the Ward water company and the staff was extremely friendly. The gnomes were awesome and were having a great time as well !

Having resided in areas where water was scarce, I am truly amazed by the abundance of natural water here, flowing literally right beneath our streets. I find it quite perplexing that the pricing structure for this water utility is exorbitant compared to any other I have encountered. I'm uncertain about the reasoning behind their pricing, but I must say it is the costliest water service I have ever come across.

The most corrupt water company I’ve ever dealt with. The bills are outrageous, they do NOT refund your deposit even after you pay off your bill, and there’s numerous reports of them not even reading meters just inputting numbers. The office is rude, and I do not understand how this corrupt little water department has gotten away with stealing people’s money for years!
