I wish I read the reviews before scheduling with them.

We asked for pick up at the time convenient for Vitran. They selected 2 hour window between 11 AM and 1 PM which we agreed. Nobody arrived during that time and we contacted operator to inquire when the pick up will happen at about 1:10 PM.
Operator (name Manuel) notified me that he does not have drivers there at the time and that the driver will be later may be at 2-3-4 or 5PM. Why did they schedule between 11 and 1 if they did not have drivers available? Why did not they call to let us know?
He said that he will arrange the driver ASAP and call me 30 min prior to the driver arriving. At 3:30 there was nobody there and no call from the operator.

During the next call Manual literally laughed when we said that we are going to cancel the shipment. Vitran does not care. They do not care about their customers. Manual refused to give me the phone number of his supervisor and at 3:30PM he claimed that the supervisor left for the day.

All it takes from the shippers and the operators is to estimate as precise as possible, make pick up on time and delivery within reasonable time! Not too much to ask.
