I used GregMat for GRE prep and was quite disappointed with the live vocabulary classes by Vince. His method involved rhyming words with random, often meaningless or humorous associations that didn’t really help with retention or understanding of GRE-level vocabulary.

Vince’s approach to teaching vocabulary heavily relies on rhyming words with random, often humorous or absurd associations and Communication skills are bad to the core that I had to use earphones since his voice was not audible. While I understand the intention was to make learning fun and memorable, in practice, these connections felt forced, lacked relevance, and did not aid in truly understanding or retaining the meaning or usage of the words—especially for someone aiming for a high Verbal score on the GRE.

GRE vocabulary is about nuance, context, and precision, and I found that Vince’s style lacked the rigor and depth needed to master those aspects. I often left the sessions more confused than confident, and had to turn to other resources to build my vocabulary effectively.
