I had an amazing experience with Lexi. She was very informative, helpful and respectful. I've heard many good things about her. I also appreciated the way she helped everyone else in line. If I could have her as my representative every time I needed help, I would. Great job!

This company’s employees are the
inept and incompetent. They double billed me on my last electric bill. I paid my bill in full on 1/03/25. Then they took out another $210.00 for an unauthorized charge on 1/11/25 causing my account to go into overdraft. How they were able to take money out of my bank account without authorization they couldn’t explain. Today is 1/23/25 and my money has not been returned. They have done nothing, but play games. This company is one of the worst and should be replaced.

Moved to Pahrump a few months ago, and have had the pleasure of dealing with Valley Electric, we have solar and are about to switch to the Fiber Optic they have been working nonstop to provide to our entire community, but in the meantime, I have zero complaints of my internet service they provide! Totally reliable. The staff up front are a delight to deal with, always helpful, patient and kind.

I'm writing this review because once more VEA is acting shady and refuses to fix THEIR issues.
So on Dec 10th 2024, my account was low and I put down a payment for 84.63. The next day, the 11th I was made aware that I had ten dollars on my account and was at risk of being shut off (which is unusual for me since I always make payments before it gets low). I called VEA and was told my bank returned the funds for being nonsufficent (which was separate day) for that payment, but that NSF payment was on the 5th and I made a payment that was posted not only through my bank WF, but through their app. So today I went in. They showed me papers that showed my payment on the 5th was returned for NSF, which I acknowledged and told her I wasn't talking about that day, I'm talking about the 10th and 11th. I told them my bank WF showed it went through and THEIR app even said both payments for the 10th and 11th went through. But when I looked at the app it said 71, which is wrong again. The manager whose name is Trish said that they aren't in charge of the app (which is funny cuz its their app), and they said their bank said it was NSF (about the wrong day, they were not getting the fact that I was talking repeatedly about the 10th and 11th). My bank said all payments for those two days went through. I told her respectfully this is something that you guys should fix and maybe you could give me a credit. She said they don't do credits. I said okay you guys aren't willing to fix this so I'm going to write a review. She said go ahead. This is me going ahead. 😄😄

The Internet is truly awful. It's very unreliable. I've been trying to troubleshoot this with their team for months now. They charge you a fee to even have a tech come out to your house. Absolutely unacceptable.

Customer service at Valley Electric is an area where the company falls short. Numerous accounts from residents reveal long wait times on the phone and unhelpful responses from representatives. It is not uncommon for customers to feel that their concerns are not taken seriously. This lack of support can be incredibly frustrating for individuals who are simply seeking assistance or information regarding their service.
Billing practices also raise concerns among customers. MANY others have reported receiving inaccurate bills, which can lead to confusion and mistrust. Such discrepancies can create financial strain, especially for those on tight budgets. When we reach out to resolve these issues, they often encounter bureaucratic hurdles that only add to their frustration.
Transparency is a critical factor in any utility service, and Valley Electric has struggled in this area as well. Customers frequently express dissatisfaction with the lack of clear communication regarding rate changes, outages, and service improvements. This opacity fosters a sense of distrust, leaving us feeling disconnected from the company that provides their essential utility service.
Moreover, the company’s infrastructure appears to be outdated, leading to frequent maintenance issues. Residents have noted that old equipment contributes to the unreliability of the service, further aggravating the problem. As technology advances, it is concerning that Valley Electric has not kept pace, putting its customers at risk of more frequent and prolonged outages.
Valley Electric also lacks community engagement, which could help bridge the gap between the company and its the people. Many residents feel that the utility provider does not listen to their feedback or concerns. By failing to foster a relationship with the community, the company misses out on valuable insights that could improve its services.
The lack of proactive measures is particularly disheartening. For a company that provides such an essential service, one would expect it to invest in infrastructure and technology that would enhance reliability. Unfortunately, this has not been the case, leaving residents questioning the company's commitment to serving the community effectively.
In addition to these systemic issues, the overall morale of Valley Electric employees also raises concerns. Several current and former employees have spoken about a challenging work environment that hinders their ability to provide quality service. If employees are dissatisfied, it is unlikely that they will offer the level of service that customers expect and deserve.
In conclusion, Valley Electric's numerous shortcomings make it deserving of a one-star rating. From inconsistent service and poor customer support to questionable billing practices and a lack of community engagement, the issues are pervasive. Residents of Pahrump deserve better from their utility provider, and it is crucial for Valley Electric to take immediate action to address these concerns. Until significant improvements are made, many will continue to view the company as an inadequate service provider.
Valley Electric seems to excel in disappointing its customers, with frequent outages and slow response times that leave residents frustrated and powerless—literally. The high rates do little to justify the lackluster service, making it feel like they prioritize profit over people. It’s disheartening to see a company that could be a pillar of the community instead become a source of constant irritation

They tried to charge me $500 to turn the electric on, and their customer service rep was very condescending and spent the entire conversation interrupting me and talking down to me in an infuriatingly patronizing tone. They love to curse; let them be cursed.
