I loveeee this place! Wine was good and the road where it is located is also beautiful. Great find. Monica took great care of us, she was welcoming, knowledgeable. We are already coming back next Thursday for a date night with a nice dinner. Can’t wait!

Pulling up to Tumwater Vineyards is an experience in itself, the grounds are absolutely stunning. Rolling hills, a beautifully landscaped setting, and water features create the picture perfect vineyard atmosphere you’d expect. When you walk up to the building, it feels like you’re stepping into something special. The entrance alone sets a high standard for what’s inside.

My date had planned a dinner at the nearby country club, and he was excited to stop by Tumwater first to share the experience with me. I’d never been, so I was looking forward to it. We arrived around 4:30 PM, and though it appeared they were preparing for an event later that evening, we thought we could relax with a quick glass of wine beforehand.

Unfortunately, the initial welcome felt less than inviting. We were greeted by a woman who immediately asked if we had a reservation, and when we said no, it was followed by, “Are you members?” It felt a bit like an interrogation rather than a warm welcome. We were directed to sit on one of three sofas near the entrance right by the front doors where the cool air kept sweeping in.

The staff seemed busy preparing for the event, which is understandable, but it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than guests. Eventually, I was served a glass of wine, and some light conversation helped ease the tension, but it took effort on our part to make the interaction feel comfortable. In situations like this, I believe the staff’s approach can really shape the experience. A bit more warmth and flexibility could have made a huge difference. We weren’t looking to stay long, just enjoy a glass of wine before dinner, but the atmosphere felt unnecessarily rigid.

Given the setting, I genuinely wanted to love my experience there. It’s a beautiful place, and I’d still like to return, maybe under different circumstances. However, first impressions matter, and I hope the team considers how their approach might impact potential future members or guests. A little more hospitality could have turned this visit into a memorable highlight, and perhaps even a new wine club membership.

I recently hosted a co-ed baby shower for my son and daughter-in-law at Tumwater Vineyard, and I can confidently say it was the perfect location! The tented space exuded warmth and coziness, while the outstanding wine and delicious food elevated the entire experience. The ambiance was stunning, making it ideal for our intimate gathering.

The highlight of the shower was a generous charcuterie board that truly impressed everyone! Our event manager, Becky, was exceptional. She went out of her way to ensure that everything ran smoothly, and her communication throughout the booking process was both prompt and considerate. It was evident that she genuinely cared about making our special day unforgettable.

I wholeheartedly recommend Tumwater Vineyard for any special event; you won’t be disappointed!

Outstanding in every way. Stunning views, beautiful facility and patio. Unmatched gardens and photo ops. Excellent wine and food. Friendly, prompt service. Easy to get there, plenty of parking. We sometimes think about traveling further to try another winery, but often we decide that the experience at Tumwater is too good to pass up.

It’s a wonderful setting. The tasting room/lodge is rustic and refined. Lots of helpful staff around. I stopped in for a tasting on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. I had bread and cheese plate that was satisfying but tasted no other food. Don’t skip the whites—their Sauvignon Blanc is especially floral. All the wines were good. Their events calendar looks pretty interesting.

Lovely scenery and super chill atmosphere. Came here for a friends anniversary party and really enjoyed the wine and appetizers. We were helped by an incredibly sweet lady named Monika, who told me all about the vineyard and how they hold various social events throughout the year… ended up getting a wine club membership (which saves you 15% off orders, and gets you access to exclusive releases). Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable and romantic spot for an afternoon or evening date 😉

This winery is definitely worth to check out. You get to enjoy the view of the vineyard and it’s relaxing to be sipping with their very own produced wine. It was a good experience we had with the Rosè and Estate Pinot Noir. 🥂
