A huge shoutout to Top Hat Baraboo for helping us make our 2 “unusable” fireplaces not only usable but warm & beautiful! Roy was intelligent & thoughtful helping us figure out what would work while Will & Victor, who came to do all of the clean out, chimney work & install everything were kind, efficient & do creatively stunning work. We were left with no clean up and a thorough understanding of how to take care of it all.

We are grateful for all of the assistance, how quickly they got us on the schedule & how fast the installs were, despite wicked weather. Thanks to everyone at Top Hat for making this easy, keeping us warm & understanding our love of burning wood in a wood stove and making it happen!

After looking at quite a few fireplace inserts, we decided to go through Top Hat for our EmberGlo fireplace insert. Everything has been fantastic! From the showroom to install. Our salesman Paul was very helpful and knowledgeable. The installation crew Will & Victor were over the top courteous, professional, and very knowledgeable. They took the time to explain everything even though they had worked a long day, Will did not act like it was an inconvenience to train us on how to operate the unit. I would highly recommend them! We absolutely love how the Lopi 34 DVL EmberGlo operates, looks, and warms our home 🙂

We just purchased and had 2 new wood- burning stoves installed by this team. They were easy to work with, good at communicating, and made sure everything was right.
I needed to have an adjustment made after I noticed a problem with one of the stoves. They showed up and promptly dealt with the issue.

Eric and Brandon did an outstanding job troubleshooting and repairing our large wood-burning fireplace. The work was done during very cold winter weather and they expedited their schedule to minimize our outage. Excellent work !

In October of 2024 I was getting ready to leave for a month long vacation and I was having intermittent heating issues with my furnace. As I've contacted Top Hat several times before with great success, I decided to contact them again for this issue. I conveyed my urgency with them regarding my upcoming vacation and my need to get my issue solved quickly. They were very helpful in sending someone out quickly. They needed to come out several times to get to the root of the problem but they assured me they wouldn't stop until they found the cause. It ultimately was an issue with the heat exchanger. It had some pinholes in it and clearly needed replacement. This is where the guys at Top Hat really came through for me. They want to bat for me and we're able to get the replacement exchanger replaced under warranty! It's 13yrs old! They got the new one in very quickly and was replaced and functionaly tested a few days before I had to leave for vacation and it worked beautifully! It's almost 2 months later and not one issue with it! Joe, Jake, and Justin (I hope I'm remembering their names correctly) were extremely nice, very informative, patient and generally a pleasure to work with. Although I've had good service from Top Hat before this experience was the best! This is how customer service should be! I'm very happy with my latest experience. Thank you very much to all at Top Hat! Keep up the great work everyone!

I called Top Hat because I needed my chimney inspected. After they came out to look at it, they said I couldn’t use it as it was (which is what I expected hence the inspection call).

On the day of the inspection, I was given many options to fix the issue. After an honest conversation with Tyler (the one who inspected the chimney), my husband and I decided to get a gas insert.

We didn’t want to cut back as the fireplace is a main focal point of the room. We were guided nicely on our options and were given input on what would work and look the best for our needs.

When it came time for the install, the guys were very friendly (they were so great with my dog!) and informed me of each step along the way. They also did a nice job of covering everything and cleaning up (they had to take out our old unit which was very dirty and messy).

The entire team was very responsive - from the people in the office scheduling the work to the guys on the ground completing the work. Everyone was professional, friendly, and offered great information/advice that would work for us.

I’m so thankful to the entire team. The new fireplace looks spectacular, and we continue to get compliments on it. Best of all - we have a fireplace that is safe and works so well (bonus that it looks amazing)!
