Comparing to the Dubuque store, this store is like all the other big box chain store, not anything like what the Dubuque store was. I originally learned of Theisen 14 years ago when i started working at John Deere Dubuque, and the store reminded me of the old school Farm stores, had the smell of them and they had the 1 off items needed by farmers and the handymen. So when i heard 10 years ago that they were building in sparta i was excited, only to be let down. I told everyone what i thought was coming and it was nothing like i thought. The sparta store is no different than Farm and fleet in Onalaska. Its still good but not what i expected.

The store is great. Our only complaint is that the deer blinds were under cover while the pallets on ice melt were uncovered in the rain. Blinds will be fine in the rain, but my ice melt is a solid mess.

Great location just outside of Sparta! Parking lot is very clean and store is full of helpful staff that politely ask customers if they can be of any assistance. I very much appreciate that I don’t have to walk around the store to find an employee if I need help finding something or have a question about an item.

During my visits I've found the associates to be helpful and friendly. With a large parking lot and easy access to the highways, this is a place I recommend.
