Finally had SolarCity come out to see if we would qualify for solar after redoing our roof. The set up was easy, and the sales associate was friendly and easy to work with. After giving us several options and explaining each one in detail, we decided to go with the 20 year loan to buy the system. Solar City handled all the paperwork with permits and inspection, etcetera. Every phone interaction I've had has been pleasant and great customer service. The sales associate kept us up to date throughout the installation process, and she has kept in touch the past two months since our system got up and running. Time from signing papers to install was less than 3 weeks, which was great, since we were originally told it would be about 5 to 6 weeks. I'm impressed with this company so far.

When SolarCity came out, they saw that I had an old solar unit that was installed specifically for heating water. They agreed to remove that old unit and installed my new panels for complete solar energy. Prior to having solar, my Edison bills averaged 200 (+) per month. My bills now average around 65.00 per month.

Only negative, once SolarCity completed their install, it took almost 3 months before it was activated. Whenever I inquired about the delay of starting my system, I was told that it was held up due to Edison having to give the final approval for the conversion.

Installers were knowledgeable and efficient. I'm lucky in that my panels are not visible from the front of my home. The install is very clean and about as unobtrusive as one could expect. My only suggestion is for Solar City to install "critter barriers" around the perimeter of the panels. We have no attic space, so we can really hear critters (probably rodents) scurrying around on the roof, taking shelter under the panels.

Sales and installation were excellent, but the company did not enroll me in ACH payment as they were apparently supposed to. The first bill arrived with a $7.50 surcharge and I signed up for ACH thereafter. I then called the business office to inform them that they could debit me, but had to wait two and a half house on hold beginning at 3 PM PST Monday, Feb 1st. Evidently, their business office staffing is struggling to keeping up with their growing number of customers. I am just glad my phone battery was up to the task!

I wont recommend no one to go to Solar City. They make it sound like is a deal and the sales man lie to you just to close the deal. I told the sales person that I was not currently working at the time and he still told me I'll be able to get a rebate not a tax reduction in my taxes. If you can buy the system cash go for it but I do not recommend to get Solar City.

My father has not been working and the sales rep was so insistent and lied telling him he would not have to pay anything, obviously a lie I’m stuck with a bill that keeps going up and up , they stopped sending a paper bill , so I don’t know why the payment is changing, I need answers. Since they moved to Tesla I have no form of reaching them !

Great experience. I could tell the installation crews were well trained and professional. Spent almost a full day repairing roof tiles that had broken (many likely not caused by their activity) only good things to say about them.

The construction work was done cleanly and efficiently and basically completed in 1 day....The panels have only been operational for 6 weeks or so but it appears the savings will be substantial as compared to our
local energy supply and distribution provided by PECO
