Sorry Tesla—your PW3 Battery works great but trying to work with the Tesla Solar/Battery team to add PW3 Expansion batteries is a colossal waste of time and money. To save other people time and money I strongly suggest contacting a local third party solar installer for a much better installation and service experience!

* Tesla teams do not communicate internally--I experienced over a month delay while Tesla engineering asked me to re-provide the same information over and over again—the same information that was documented onsite by the Tesla site survey team!
* Tesla makes you schedule calls days in advance to talk with a project advisor who has no product knowledge.
* To resolve design issues Tesla refuses to let you talk with the engineer designing the project.

The end result is that Tesla tries to oversell you electrical equipment you do not need.

While I appreciate much of what DOGE is doing for our Federal Government, please tell Elon that he has plenty of opportunity to eliminate waste in his own solar/battery department. My experience working with his Solar/Battery teams was a colossal waste of time and money!

Zero customer service, warranties won’t be upheld by manufacturer, they will give you the runaround, stay away from selling and servicing Tesla

Worst company ever. Last year when they came and sold me solar panel, my only concern was that sooner or later I will have to get the roof replaced so what will happen and then assured me that all I will have to do is make a call a day or two ahead of scheduled date and they will come and uninstall and once roof is done they will install the panels immediately. Now that I have my roof scheduled for this Thursday on Monday when I called they told me it will take them 24 to 48 hours to return my call and when my roofer called they told him they can't do it till 2019. Please if you are getting Solar Panels there are much cheaper options. Don't get into the scam of Tesla name.

Guys... search online the best solar panels company. My experience is I am not saving any money with solar panel. Secondly I have worse experience with this company. Maintenance guys came and advised us to change roof as company is maintaining the panels so if we change roof in this process we don’t need to pay anything to solar city/Tesla but once our roof changed and we contacted them they told us that we have to pay $499. And started sending documents to sign in order to proceed . As it was given in the document that they will instal panels back in max of 6 months time. We waited another 3 or so months and then contacted them they said we never received few docs from you so we are not installing 😡. My husband sent those docs and we are again in waiting line. Our panels now been removed for last 8 months and we are paying to both solar city and electric company so in this time we realized we are paying more to solar city than electricity company. Please be smart with your shopping. We made mistake ... Now we treating it as punishment of paying $107 per month for another 10+ years.

I filled out their online form and in a short while a rep called me on a Sunday no less. I am building a house and wanted solar installed while the walls etc., were still open and not something installed after the fact. I was told to call back when I had the first month's electric bill as they could not talk to me until they could "tell me how much money I would save". I provided the bill for a similar house we currently rent but that was not good enough. They cannot send anyone out, see the house, discuss our current usage, etc., like any normal company might. They are stuck to their script and can't budge. I wonder what Elon would think of this?

I've very happy with 42 SolarCity Panels on my house for over two years. Great savings. Smooth installation and follow up on all details. Seriously good thing to do.

They came out to see if we qualify and busted my thermostat and have done nothing so far to fix it.. They took apart my electrical panel and did not attach it back to the wall. Why do they take something apart and refuse to fix it. Now I have to hire an electrician I am guessing to come inspect it to see if they damaged any of the cabling. I am pretty sure they are just a bunch of crooks

They took care of absolutely everything including engineer consult, permits, power agreement, installation, everything. They also have a Web site to keep tabs on exactly where you are in the process. Finally, I noticed an immediate drop in my electric bill. All this with NO cost to me, and them monitoring and maintain the system, this is a no brainer folks.
