I was selling at the TVSM Saturday night and got charged for an extra space for small 4 foot table, a tub of children's clothing, and another tub of kids gift bags. I was packing up (9pm) because no one was buying and they still charged me for the space $28, she gave me a discount of $8, as if that made it right. Then she said she could charge me another space for parking my vehicle in back of the spot I was selling. She said you need to unload your vehicle.Go park it in the parking lot.And then when you're done you bring your vehicle back to load. Honestly that's how they treat the seller's who are responsible for bringing customers into there business.  WITHOUT SELLERS THERE IS NO TANQUE VERDE SWAP MEET!
It cost $36 for Saturday 11am - 11pm
But buyers don't show up until after 5. Spend most of their money on food and drinks. So they are just looking and not buying and by 8-9 no more sales. So as a seller who "sold" not going back... you only have a couple of hours of sales compared to all the work preparing your items to sell, loading up into your vehicle,  driving there, unloading your vehicle, loading your vehicle, driving home,  unloading your vehicle and putting away your sale item. Is not worth it!
$156 in sales minus the cost of goods
$64 for two spaces
$30 for food
I have two words
YARD SALE

First timer and my impression, PERFECT!
I haven't gone to a swap meet for over 20+ years but this one had it all... with the extras, and more!
All swap meets should be like this place, the smiles and laughs are contagious.
Beers and cocktails stands everywhere, food trucks section, karaoke, dj area and dancing, carnival fair rides, and shopping. This is how shopping should be... locally, fun and for the people.
My opinion on why shopping malls are closing, it's the experience.

We had not been to swap meet since before COVID. The $2 a person to get in wasn't a big deal for the two of us, but I could see how it could add up for a family. We were more surprised by how run down it all seemed, especially since they charge per person. Although there was the nostalgia of going to the swap meet on the weekend, we left pretty disappointed. Tucsonans definitely want something family friendly to do at night and there is the potential.

A note for the owners $2 a person when you park it's too much. Especially when it's slow. There shouldn't be any charge for parking before 5:00 p.m. I watched customers leaving because none of the stores are even open. My suggestion is $5 Max for parking after 5:00 p.m.
Also rent for the sellers is putting them out of a business. They keep raising the rent

Drove several miles on Saturday to go to the market. Got there at 1:30pm and there were only a couple of vendors! Was told the vendors come when they want and usually don’t get there until 4:30. Didn’t go in, waste of time, frustrated. It should be more clear as to when vendors are there. It states on website that it starts at 11:00am but obviously not!

The electricity is malfunctioning it is dangerous. Numerous blackouts, sparks came out of electrical outlet in my building. Wasn't able to use my lapidary equipment because the electricity is bad . Street lights frequently blackout or are never turned on. Customers leave when it is dark and I don't sell anything.
Last time I visited a power pole was being propped up with a FORK LIFT. I was told it had fallen over. The weight of the pole was resting on the conduit. EXTREMELY UNSAFE FIRE HAZARD AND A MASSIVE ELECTRICAL CODE VIOLATION. I didn't bother informing local management. Complaint was forwarded to corporate headquarters at United Flea Markets. Eddie Beto and Mario do absolutely nothing.
This outside of my former store.

Went on Sunday at 4 pm. Did not even get out of the car. Was a ghost town. Disappointing as we are tourists who traveled an hour to get here. Do better.

absolutely 100% worth checking out. this swap meet has a sort of rogue, anything could happen vibe going on here and it’s kind of fun. great treasures to be found throughout and lots of street food.

everything is cash only and there are a lot of non-traditional vendors. this isn’t like the swap meets in LA, this is something weird, wild, and wonderful — different completely. for many, this meet would be out of their comfort zone so maybe take that into consideration if you’re expecting a bunch of hipsters selling clothes from the 70s, this is not that.

someone could be selling a leaf blower, someone could be selling an airbrushed t-shirt with a picture of your dog on it, someone could be selling a used car seat, serapes, straw hats, mayan calendar — LITERALLY ANYTHING.

i absolutely loved it and hope to be back someday.
