Very happy with Sunnova. They kept in touch with me during the permit, installation and inspections. I have already seen a difference in my usage from the electric company with the panels installed. There is an app that shows how much I use and when so I can plan my higher consumption during the time when the panels are producing power. The contractors that were involved were professional and made this one of my better decisions for my home.

The work was done quickly efficiently. It only took me two months to have a zero balance on my Duquesne Light bill I am paying Duquesne Light zero dollars for the past six months and I pay my solar panels $61 a month that’s it. I couldn’t be happier.

The planning and installation was superb. The only disappointment is in receiving a bill from the utility company and from my solar company in the same month. I was under the impression that we wouldn't have a utility bill. Being on a fixed income makes this an urgent matter. I understand that the system will generate more power than I use in the winter while it doesn't produce enough in the summer months due to temps up to 120 degrees. So it should average out over the year. I just have to monitor it over this first year. I'll know for sure at that time. If I build up enough credits over this winter I hope it will be enough to cover the amount of power I'm pulling from the grid.

Coming from a customer that has had panels for over a year, I have had so many problems with Sunnova. Technicians not showing up twice. My bill was low for a while and is now is back to the same it used to be before the panels were installs. The Portal shows everything is working properly but my bill has increased significantly. Now I paid for a UCC termination for refinance and it expired before we closed. I asked if they would extend it and they told me no and to go in the Portal and request another one and pay again. I received the next one in September dated for July. My title company won't take it and now Sunnova tells me they are extending it. How does my title company know they extended it? I don't have a letter like I asked in the first place and I also don't have a form dated with current date. It has a date from 2 months ago. I would never recommend Sunnova to anyone.

Sunnova was very good to work with. They provided us with a very attractive lease that fit into our budget. They came back after installation to check on it and followed up if we had any questions.
We have had our solar panels for 1 year and so far have had no problems with them.

Worst experience ever with with company. I purchased a home with this god awful companies panels already installed on my house. I was not able to get the panels connected and no one would help any time I called. On top of that they put them on every house in the neighborhood and the panels are not enough to handle the home. People had to get other companies to come in and add more panels. Highly recommend not going with this company. Customer service is horrible and now they want to sue for their own short comings. Terrible company. Look them up. Telling people to call customer service when it’s the worst won’t do anything for you

Terrible Experience with Sunnova and Legacy Power

I had an awful experience with Sunnova and their partner Legacy Power for my solar panel installation. After spending over $60,000 on a brand-new roof in 2024 and passing inspection, I had them come to install solar panels. Initially, they were quick to answer all my questions, but things went downhill after the installation.

They broke and removed many roof tiles during the process. Despite promising to replace all the damaged tiles, they never followed through. They stopped answering calls and didn’t come for an inspection. After five months of chasing them, they finally responded, claiming the broken and missing tiles weren’t their fault.

Their customer service is abysmal, and they’re utterly incompetent. I strongly advise against using Sunnova or Legacy Power for any work. They are unreliable and untrustworthy. Save yourself the hassle and find a different company.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! Terrible support. First electric bill is over $300. We purchased a home with a Tesla battery wall connected to solar and have not been able to get in touch with anyone in the transfers department since we signed the contract to initiate the transfer. We’re told by the call center that the transfer department cannot take calls. We closed on the home on 7/31, moved in 8/12 and have been trying EVERYTHING to reach the transfers department to complete the transfer, including logging multiple tickets with the call center and follow up emails. We cannot login to the Sunnova or use the Tesla apps and there is a hurricane approaching. All this has been explained to Sunnova via call and email multiple times with no reply.
