Reviews of Southwest Electric

The sales rep, Diego, was very unprofessional. He told me he wasn't interested in helping when I wouldn't meet with him to review the quote. The quote was based on an average from homes my size. I was very clear and only interested in seeing a quote if it was based on my actual usage. I have no experience with any other part of the company, but the lack of professionalism on the service level does not give me much confidence in the rest of the company.

Please do business elsewhere. I spent a week calling, being sent to voicemail every time and the emails I sent were not responded to. After almost a month of no information on the project, I decided to cancel the contract. I struggled to do this since voicemails and emails were disregarded by the company. I finally received response from Southwest Electric only after I contacted the loan company directly and asked them to stop the funding for the project. Given the lack of contact, the lack of response, and the general strange way that they'd been about the project I felt I had no choice. Today I received a call demanding that I pay them $1,500 for the project. The project that they didn't complete. They attempt to strong arm you into completing the project but refuse to answer calls, emails, or provide useful updates on the project. Please use another company, their business practices are questionable and looking at the other reviews, I'm sadly not the only one that has experienced this.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Southwest Electric for the installation of solar panels on my home, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire process. From start to finish, their team exhibited professionalism, expertise, and a genuine commitment to customer satisfaction.
First and foremost, the consultation phase was informative and transparent. The team took the time to thoroughly assess my home's energy needs and provided me with a detailed breakdown of the proposed solar system, including potential savings and ROI projections. They patiently addressed all my questions and concerns, ensuring I felt confident in my decision to go solar.
The installation itself was executed flawlessly. The technicians were punctual, courteous, and highly skilled. They worked efficiently and with great attention to detail, leaving no mess behind. I was particularly impressed by their commitment to safety protocols throughout the process.
Since the installation, I have been enjoying the benefits of clean, renewable energy while significantly reducing my utility bills. The system performs exactly as promised, and I have peace of mind knowing that I am doing my part for the environment.
Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend Southwest Electric to anyone considering solar panel installation. Their professionalism, expertise, and commitment to customer satisfaction set them apart in the industry. Thank you, Southwest Electric, for an exceptional experience!

Initially (1st year and 1/2) solar panels worked - no issues. This year I noticed a very high electric bill in April which was confusing. In May I checked the app and found that inverter was not working and so no electric was produced. I called my sales guy 5/13 - as he has promised me that panels are monitored remotely and if even one panel was sluggish they would catch it and fix it - well after a week of phone tag the inverter was finally fixed 5/22. I have lost 3 months of production, paid my $210/month payment, and also out of pocket $180/month electric bills. Unless you plan on checking your production every couple of days - I don’t recommend solar panels - they promise you a certain production, but there is really nothing behind it. Even after the call was made - another 9 days w/o production and when I asked them what they planned to do they said “nothing - that is on you.”

They monitor the system. Mine went down November 18th, 2023. They say they don't alert me of system going down. Ya, they do..They say its SolarEdges fault. I call solar edge, they say they are just a manufacturer. DO NOT HAVE THIS COMPANY INSTALL YOUR SOLAR PANELS.
The inverter has been bad because of their install job, and their notification system never worked. I have lost thousands, just thought I would update. Still a conniving company!

Absolute unprofessional salesman. They disregard no soliciting signs and come at dinner time even when I’ve already told them I’m not interested.

This is one of the few companies where they actually speak with you and ask questions to understand what your goals are with Solar. Most companies want to talk how great they are and that's why they are worth thousands of dollars more, but yet abandon you after the sale.
Everytime I reach out I get a response within a reasonable time. I liked that Tim didn't make everything seem like solar was the answer to everything. He explained everything and actually brought up other concerns. Advised us how to handle it if we were to proceed. Which we did and everything has been great! I felt I had much more control over the process, and loved the small updates I'd get throughout the process.
