Southern Rivers Energy is probably the worst power company you can have, living in Ga. I bet these review scores would be even lower if the worker’s spouses and family members didn’t try to inflate the scores. Power will be out for hours, just out of nowhere: clear skies= power out, slight breeze=power out, middle of the night=power out. They don’t seem to do any proactive maintenance where I live, so when a storm does hit we are the first to loose power and the last to have restoration. The same storm and Diverse or Georgia Power neighbors will still have electricity. It’s always Southern Rivers. I wish Ga Power would just buy them out of these rural areas. They do a poor job of keeping members updated and almost never provide an eta on service restoration. I bet people wouldn’t be as upset if they an eta. Sadly they have a monopoly in these rural areas and they have not improved NONE in the yrs my family has been forced to use them.

Before I moved here 3 weeks ago I read reviews of how bad this company was.
Now I know how bad it is. Had some bad storms come through yesterday morning, my power went out at 5:15 a.m.
It is now 3:30 a.m. Monday morning still no power. Neighbors all around me have power. I have no breaker tripped.
I am nowhere near where the storms hit hard. It is just a piss poor company.

This is ridiculous. Our bill is almost as much as the mortgage. We don't use anything outside of normal appliances and lights 90 percent of time. We even had SRE send someone out to inspect and find out why our bill is anywhere from 370 to 700 a month. All he could tell us is our extra fridge on our porch shouldn't be running full time. Didn't use heat or ac for 4 months and bill was still 500 or better. Something has gotta give

Bad storm came through and the entire area went out. My street was out 30+ hours. I saw them working tirelessly to get everyone back on
Rhe crews were doing all they could to get each area restored. I'm thankful for the linemen who continue to show up and keep families power going!

Power goes off randomly and stays off for hours. I just got my latest power bill on a 1700 square-foot house. It was $500. Granted, it has been cold in Georgia, but this is absurd. They have no options for Budget billing like most other power companies. If I had known it would be like this, I would’ve never bought this house.

We’ve had more power outages since moving into a Southern Rivers energy area than anywhere we’ve ever lived. On clear days for no apparent reason it will just go out. Very frustrating.

I just want to say we haven’t had any issues and I really want to thank everyone involved on getting out power back on so quickly. Thank you southern rivers for all the hard work yall do for us and I know we appreciate you.

This is the most sorriest power company in the state of Ga. Don’t be a day late, they will cut your power off but let it come time for them to do their job and it takes days and weeks to restore power. I see Ga Power out working to restore power but NO southern rivers trucks. The customer service is rude and the fleet is lazy. What are we paying them for. DO YOUR JOB! Sad we don’t have options because majority of us would have been left.
