I was excited for the opportunity to switch to green energy when I learned SCP was generating our power. However over a year after moving out of the Sonoma county area, I started receiving collections calls from a debt collector regarding an unpaid bill to SCP But I pay everything through pg&e. Apparently, pg&e charged SCP on my behalf for part of my last bill in the area and SCP was trying to get that money back from me. I would have been happy to pay, but I guess they didn't want it that badly since they barely tried to reach out at all. They said they sent mail to my old address, but obviously if I cancelled my service it's because I moved out of the area. I had my mail forwarded, but only for one year, and they waited too long to try to send me my bill. They have no common sense and would rather take the easy way out instead of actually trying to contact me in good faith so I could pay the bill. No phone calls. No email. But they obviously had that info since they sold it to the debt collector who is now using it to harass me daily. Now I have collectors on my back and the impact on my credit all because scp was too lazy and lacking in common sense. I will be opting out of SCP when I move back into the area in October.

Over the last 8 years, we have very much appreciated having SCP as our electricity provider. We support the default opt-in, and local greener sources like geothermal. Love the EverGreen option for 100% renewable energy. Clear, accessible educational and incentive programs help address the climate crisis, and make our lifestyle more resilient. We've benefited from numerous generous programs like a free EV charger, reductions for EV purchase, and back-up battery incentives. We've always had excellent customer service. A special shout-up to Carolyn Glanton for all your assistance with SGIP! Thank you SCP for all you do for our Sonoma community!

The programs and the concept is so amazing I couldn't bear to give it a one star but I bought an EV specifically to get their EV rate. After 18 months I found out I was still with PG&E I called them they said I "opted out." When I asked them how my record says I opted out was it a letter or phone call, they said they were not allowed to tell me. This was a $1500-$2000 mixup and they are protecting somebody, which sucks for me of coarse. I think I might call the PUC if they don't respond to my letter in a positive manner. If this turns into a positive experience I'm going to change my rating. Pretty frustrating but mostly my fault for not checking my bill sooner.

I'm having to call them again. The first time was not a pleasent experience. I couldn't get a stright answer. I've been reading up to find the BBB has given them, Sonoma Clean Power a rating of C. Then I see so many positive reviews. PGE is not helping. But the customer service I received was really bad. Rude, disrespectful. I'm torn on what to do next.

Great customer service and I was able to speak with a rep in Sonoma County! She provided me a savings comparison so that I could see the savings of staying with SCP’s service and gave me suggestions on a more fitting rate class. Very knowledgeable representative.

This entity has the balls to charge Mendocino county residents over $100 per month. We are not in Sonoma county this is theft

A no brainer! Why would you give your money to PG&E? Greener energy and competitive to PGE plus an option to pay just a few dollars more a month to be 100%green. Don't understand what the other negative reviews are talking about. Keep your money local and tell big PG&E to kick rocks.

This company has some awesome programs. I checked out the DIY toolkit from the library allowing me to make water and energy conserving upgrades to my house at no cost. Definitely a company that understands the triple bottom line.
