I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the solar panel system designed and installed by Solar Link Energy at my residence. I entered into a contract with your company in December 2023, following which an analysis of my household's energy consumption was conducted. Based on this assessment, Solar Link Energy proposed a system that, according to your estimates, would generate 111% of my energy usage. Additionally, it was projected that my self-consumption would range from 73% during summer months to 41% during winter months.

However, since the system's installation in early 2024, the actual performance has been drastically different from these projections. I have remained 83% dependent on the electrical grid, leading to monthly electricity bills ranging from $500 to $800. This level of grid dependence is nowhere near the promised self-sufficiency, and had I been aware that the system would only reduce my grid reliance by a mere 17%, I would have never agreed to pay the substantial sum of $38,506 for its installation.

I have made numerous attempts to reach Solar Link Energy to address these concerns, including contacting the owner directly via his personal cell phone, work email, the company's phone number, and the company's general email. Despite these repeated efforts, I have received no response or assistance in evaluating or troubleshooting the system’s poor performance.

The basis of my decision to proceed with this investment was the energy savings and grid independence that solar link formally proposed. Given the significant discrepancy between their projections and actual performance, I believe I have been misled by false advertising and misrepresentation of expected savings

SolarLink did a great job for us putting in a solar array and battery back-up at our house, and at a great price. We wanted to capture and use our own clean energy and save a lot of cost in the long run, and we're really pleased with how SolarLink got it done for us at a very reasonable price. I had the pleasure of engaging with SolarLink via Axia for our Solar Installation of our TownHome. SolarLink did a fantastic job through the entire process. First and foremost they helped us and provided all the documents needed for our HOA's approval. Next they proceeded with Installation. Jerry and the crew who arrived for the installation are awesome, very meticulous. I could not have expected more. I would recommend SolarLink to anyone thinking of Solar Installation for their single family home or Townhome.

Kyle and the team at SolarLink did a very good job with everything necessary for solar installation, up until I received Permission To Operate from PG&E.

I initially reached out to SolarLink to ask for a completely hands-free process, since I didn't really have the time to handle any of the city-council or HOA stuff myself. I had tried earlier to get Tesla to install solar for me, but Tesla's process pretty much involved them telling me what to do and then having me do all the work emailing HOA and stuff. With SolarLink I was promised a hands-free process, which I must say was delivered on as best as possible.

Kyle was very responsive the entire time, even responding at night sometimes. He was also extremely helpful when there was an error during setup that sent the monitoring apps (Enphase + Tesla) setup to the wrong email address. SolarLink was able to identify the issue and remediate it within a day. This is a lot quicker than some other installers I've had friends/neighbors work with.

The only thing I can think of that SolarLink should improve on is to have a more detailed timeline in finer granularity right from the beginning, including possible vendor lien notices, payment, inspection occurrences, all the way up to PTO. Perhaps splitting up the payments (I paid cash) to fit into this granular timeline would have worked better as well, instead of having to renegotiate payments while waiting on PTO and such.

All in all though, if you're looking for the company with the most hands-free process, SolarLink is the one you want.
