My experience with making the switch to SmartEnergy was very good. Prices were excellent and representative was very professional. Rodrigo answered all my questions in a polite and patient manner, which was very helpful. I had called about an offer I had received which gave a $100 bill refund at the end of six months. I was quoted a rate of approximately $1.05/KWH which was ridiculous especially since I had gone to powersetter.com and compared rates there. It showed a 12mo. locked rate of $0.1141/kwh and he quickly confirmed and set me up with that rate. It did not include a bill refund but was significantly less expensive than the "deal" cost especially over the course of 12 months. My experience with Rodrigo was exceptional and the process of switching my electric supplier to Smart Energy was simple and straightforward. My only warning would be to do your homework and compare rates of suppliers before making the switch.

This company is garbage. Definitely stay away. Customer service has no information, they can't help you at all. If you have an issue they literally can't and will transfer you over and over asking all you information over and over. Just don't use them.

The score I gave was because of the rate, as a sole provider in my home i need to have savings. I appreciate the price I've been paying and i tell others so they can save also. The visa incentive to switch and try your service is also a great part. Somehow I didn't receive them the first time I signed up 2 year ago. This time I'm expecting to asap. Thank you.

The person I spoke with was very professional and very nice. Explained everything in detail and made sure I had the phone number and extension. Asked several times if I had any questions and explained about the survey. Also, waited patiently until I retrieved my Eversource bill. Once again, very professional.

Do not switch and take advantage of any promotions. After the promotional period ends, they double the cost per kw. Then when I called them to let them know they offered to reduce the rate. A reputable company would have noticed that the promo period was going to expire and offered a competitive rate.
