Current customer with the seller utility division and upon my partner calling them early yesterday morning then myself after to see what it would be to get water turned on at new house we are renting. We were told it would be deposit form of id and lease for the rent. No big deal for the most part. I don't see why I'd have to fork out more money over it however we did. We left work little early to go by and get the service on. Never was told bout after hours service charge til we went in to get service. I've never have seen such incompetent line of service until yesterday. On top the woman addressing the issue from back of the office never got up to speak to us. Then even up talking to manager they still wouldn't admit their wrong doing. Sounds like they could use training in customer service and support.

Update upon the the department. They claim $100 deposit. It's not a deposit. It's a $100 service charge that's non refundable. Just know when you disconnect you will have a bill.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Selmer Utilities yesterday. At 8:56, I called to request assistance with transferring my service by the end of the business day. Unfortunately, the customer service representative did not provide the necessary information. I was also disappointed with the management's response, which seemed to prioritize staff interests over customer needs.

Watch your water bill! We got a bill for almost $250. Showed we used 36,000 gallons of water from August 29 through September 1st. That would average out to be 9,000 gallons a day. Funny thing is, we were in Pigeon Forge that weekend and didn't return until September 2nd. No one was home, how do you explain that? We checked and we do not have any water leaks or running toilets. No water running through the meter when all water in house is off. No clue what happened to the water while we were gone. They were zero help, "it went through the meter so you have to pay for it."

We recently moved to Selmer and I can not say enough about how wonderful the team is. We had a suspected gas leak and the team and the supervisor all came to check it out to ensure our families safety. They went above and beyond. Thank you for all you guys do.

This is the second time I’ve been treated poorly, lady at window was rude all because she had a line and couldn’t do her job right after I waited over 10 mins in a line. Need to learn some respect or quit nobody forces you to go work if you don’t want to and going to be rude to customers.. makes while company look bad!
