Got power back Saturday, but instead of cutting tree down that was leaning over line Saturday while they had a man cutting trees off lines 100 yards away they decided to just turn the power back on. Well, they sent a tree service company over here yesterday to cut the tree down and destroyed the line. Now we are without power once again and no help in sight. I will find a way to get reimbursement for all items replaced since our power was restored and we spent all that money to replace what was ruined. This is the most inefficient company I have ever seen. They really dropped the ball on this storm. Georgia Power had crews and tree service crews cutting trees off lines the morning after so they are not doing it twice like Satilla. Maybe on the next storm yall pay someone to ride with them and take notes. I called 2 days after storm and asked if I could just cut the tree on down and they wouldn't have to fool with it and they said please don't cut it down on the line. We'll the tree service company didn't have a problem tearing up the place including another section of my fence. This is not how you do things Satilla.

We lived at 6123 Lin marsh Blackshear for 9 years and had nothing but excellent service. We are thinking about moving to Telmore-Dixie union and hopefully will have them again.

You can’t keep saying we want to be transparent while saying nothing significant. You knew hurricane Helene was coming. You didn’t call in enough resources ahead of time. You have not restored power to a single member yet. Yes we pray for lineman safety. But shame on you for not taking the responsibility you should.

Shame on Satilla management. Yes this storm was bad, it was for everybody, some way worse, but in our region you're handling of the repairs is totally unacceptable...It doesn't take a very smart person to know that way more could and should have been done 2 wks ago...and for the overworked employees at Satilla....God Bless You...you deserve better...everybody needs to file complaints with the entire State of Ga and in the very least get new management at Satilla.

My bill almost doubled its “normal” this month. Called to get to the bottom of it and they told me my meter ran more because of the cold weather this month which is interesting because in the coldest month last year (December) my bill was $50 cheaper than this month (February). That is not adding up. They are just charging people whatever they want because there is other option.

Sad that this is the only power choice I have at the moment. They charged me $24 for the 48hrs that our electric was completely out due to the hurricane. They also charged me an additional $51 in 2 days which put me at a -$11 balance. I called and spoke to the supervisor and she told me the electric runs by a satellite and gives estimates. I asked if there's anything that can be done, I can't afford to pay the reconnection fee and there is no possible way we used that much money in 2 days when our average electric bill at it's highest per day in the summer is $9-$13. She told me my only options were to put more money on my account or pay the reconnection fee when they disconnect my power. If you buy a house make sure your power is NOT with Satilla EMC. It is ridiculous. You pay the prices they want, not what you actually use. Or else you don't have electricity.
