Please do yourself a favor and do not work with this company. Biggest mistake of our lives. We thought everything was going to be good in the beginning, they came out, we signed paperwork and they were installed and that was about the end of anything good. After our solar panels were installed it took forever to get them turned on and working because of permit issues, bright planet blamed it on the city, the city blamed it on them so not sure who to fault but thinking bright planet now. Once we got them turned on they worked good for a month then we started having issues. It took multiple times of them coming out to fix it because they either didn't show up when they scheduled the appointment or brought the wrong replacement parts. We have had them over a year now and this has happened several times. I have had to call several times to get things done or follow up because they never do. And now we were told we would be reimbursed for our electric bill as we ended up with a bill because the equipment wasn't working properly most of the time, but we have more solar panels then we need and should have been producing much more than needed. I literally have called them almost every month and am beyond frustrated at this point. We are trying to figure out how to get out of our contract as they are not upholding their end of the deal and just want to be down with them. So again please, please look elsewhere for solar and save yourself the headache we are going through.

Customer service and communication with BrightOps has been the worst, read the reviews below, new excuse everytime. Seems as if the whole office team is clueless.

I also wanted to add a HUGE SAFETY BREACH, upon SDGE approving my solar system install they had mentioned that there was a electrical housing unit secured with the wrong type of nuts and bolts and that it was a fire hazard. I went outside to determine what the cause for the delay was and the tech blatantly explained to me the issue I mentioned above and that he was going through his phone to look for a job that had completed in the past with the correct nuts and bolts so he could send it to the city inspector..... without ever changing the ones installed on my home...

I was appalled, he then said unfortunately he could not find a picture of a past completed job that the roofing tiles had matched my home. He then went to Lowes and bought the correct bolts and installed them. WOW, this tells you what kind of company this is.

My current issue now is the non-communication light, 5 tech visits in 7 weeks to my home to no avail, now they tell me that I need to purchase a mesh system and wi fi booster... the system worked for 5 months and now has not. The audacity of this pathetic company and work ethic. I am giving it 1 more month to get my system up and running otherwise I will be reporting this to the city and state

Worst Customer Service I have ever seen every time I call. It’s another excuse. They’re design team did not design things correctly. My advice to anyone using Bright Planeat solar is canceling your contract. If available to cancel I was told the only way I could cancel. My contract is to pay off the panels then I can do what I want with them $45,000.02 months and nothing is completed constant excuses

a terrible company there panels dont produce. i have another system with another co with half as many panels and it out produces B P S SYSTEM YET THAY SAY THE SYSTEM IS DOING GREAT DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM THAY ARE BACKED BY HIGH PRICED LAWYERS thay are a huge co and defraud many people dont trust them. thay installed my system before getting a building permit

WARNING: AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

I deeply regret not researching this company thoroughly before engaging with them. While their sales pitch seemed promising, the reality of their abysmal customer service quickly became apparent. My main point of contact was Kevin Kapchuk, whose behavior towards my wife was not only unprofessional but downright offensive.

Two months ago, they installed a solar system on my roof. Recently, during an inspection by the energy company, a crucial piece of equipment broke off, posing a serious fire hazard. Despite repeated requests for assistance, the solar company has been evasive and uncooperative, refusing to send a technician to rectify the situation. This blatant disregard for safety is alarming, especially considering the lives at risk, including my elderly parents and child.

Furthermore, their attitude towards addressing the issue has been dismissive and nonchalant. They have failed to uphold their obligation to maintain their equipment over the contracted period of 25 years. It's clear that their priorities lie in making sales rather than ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

I implore anyone considering their services to steer clear of this company. Their customer service is hostile, unhelpful, and unwilling to address concerns promptly or escalate them to higher authorities. If I could rate them zero stars, I would. Save yourself the trouble and take your business elsewhere.

LEASERS AND BUYERS BEWARE!!!! I should’ve done my research on this company before I went with them. The problem arises when their sales people do a good job of pitching but the customer service is piss POOR! They installed a system on my roof over 2 months ago and when the energy company came to inspect that everything was good, a piece of the solar equipment broke off in their hand. The energy technician then alerted us that this could be a fire hazard and needed to call the solar company to come and replace the part. Fast forward to 2 months later and I have been fighting with the solar company to have a technician take a look and fix the part. They keep refusing even though there is a potential risk of my house catching on fire. I have two elderly parents and a child that I cannot risk. They are mincing words and are still refusing to send out anyone to look over the parts to make sure that the system is safe. It’s still their system and will not be mine until I pay it off in 25 years and they are to maintain their equipment for that period of time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I repeat DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Their customer service people are unfriendly and will not escalate and problems to their superiors. If I could give them zero stars I would but unfortunately I cannot. Again do not use this company please take your business elsewhere!
