So during the pandemic i wasn't working and got behind on my bill. They were nice enough to give me a payment plan... $410mo. Really? Not to mention the $70 late fee they get you for... every month ur behind. That's a lot of freaking money. The rates really need to be lowered or something or get a low income program like the other utilities.

I had a miscommunication during the escrow process of buying an inhabited duplex of when the previous owner was going to need water services transferred. SLO Utilities decided the best course of action was to send someone out to the house to physically shut off water to the duplex early Monday morning - the day the property ownership was being transferred - it was a wonderful surprise getting a text from my blind and elderly tenant that she no longer had water. SLO Utilities offered to turn the water back on 6+ hours in the future for a fee of $310. Three hundred and ten dollars for someone to come and turn a knob outside of the house. How do y’all sleep at night?

It's UNREAL AND DISGUSTING that so many people can hardly pay their water bills for water that is contaminated. Water we can't even drink! Cancerous water. This is outrageous and something needs to be done.
