If I could give them zero stars, I would. SDGE is the worst energy company in the nation, charging the highest energy fees, randomly charging higher prices throughout the year, month, or day (even though San Diego has the most mild weather in the country). They leverage their monopoly in the market to charge whatever they want, all while refusing to meaningfully upgrade infrastructure and move to clean energy. Public energy would be a huge improvement, but that is clearing a remarkably low bar given SDGE's shady business practices and vile customer service record. Do better, SDGE, do better.

Got an email, having trouble paying your electricity bill? Isn't everyone with these outrages electric bills? Like what is going on? Why charge so much. I have a one bedroom and get charged $500 a month on average. Back home in New York my bill would be like $120 max. National Grid wins all. On top of that they are charging a Climate credit? Like omg this company is robbing people of their funds. San Diego should be thankful this is the only electric company pretty much they offer. Otherwise they would have ZERO business. But hey they get one star because at least they do their job giving us electricity...............right?

Would not assist me with turning my power when I moved into my new house because I moved in on a Sunday. My food went bad...and I had to work remotely the next day. Customer service was apathetic and would direct me to the website/app which both had broken date fields. I feel like crying from the stress.

SDGE shut off our power for a wind event, about 6 hours too early. Wind event after midnight and power off at 5:30pm. Easily could have allowed families to do their nightly routines then shut power off after 9pm. Horrible planning by whoever is in charge.

Got our first bill and half of the damn thing is taxes and a BIG delivery fee. Seriously? Why does the county allow this crap. Never thought it would say it but when you let democrats run the damn place, you get charged an arm and a leg. Worst company ever. If there is another company to get electricity from, I would switch tomorrow .

No wonder CA and San Diego have some of the higher cost of living, people here allow companies to get away with ripping you off

Worst rip off company in the nation with these outrageous power bills. Shame on San Diego for allowing them to rip off people. Our EV car uses a little less than our monthly home rates and we are paying ridiculous amounts for an apartment. $200/month for a one bedroom and no AC run isn’t right.

Their smart meters were falsely overcharging so went to analog for both gas and electric. Much better now. Suggest that you switch to analog and monitor it every month for usage including photos of the meters to make sure there is no cheating. Easier to catch cheating with a analog meter.

It shouldn't be this much of a pain to set up power for a new apartment.

Code verification doesn't work.
When setting a start date, it insists that the year 2024 isn't in range, but the year 0002 is?
Calling them leads to a useless robot.
