I noticed on Google that it says this is a "non-profit" company. THIS IS A LIE. This is a privately funded company that has a board of supervisors that dictate how it is ran. For instance, they offer no grace period for payments while other utility companies do. They offer no payment extensions, SPECIFICALLY stating that their board members prohibit it, while other utility companies do. For God's sake, even the cell phone carriers offer it. Even during the pandemic they will shut off an essential utility like water. Never mind you just got laid off of work and are awaiting your unemployment check. THEY DON'T CARE! I don't even see how this company exists? How do we get them out of Grand Terrace?

This is a privately ran & funded company that is horribly and unprofessionally ran. I have received racist, sexist, and derrogatory remarks from employees there, primarily the field techs. When I emailed the company they did absolutely NOTHING to resolve this issue, which tells me that the general manager, another older white man, is okay with the tech's behavior. Furthermore, since I am on a fixed income I rely solely on my bills being mailed to me like every utility company does. Half of the time we don't receive the bills and because this is a monopolized company it's hard to find a replacement (they're QUICK to shut your service off and expect MORE THAN TRIPLE payment to get it back on, again they're in it just to fatten their private pockets), although I am looking into it. If you're considering living in Grand Terrace, DON'T. Although I love the small town, THIS alone is too much and I literally cannot afford to give millionaires a chunk of my disability check (mind you I'm not even receiving the equivalent to minimum wage in my check). They offer no programs for people in my situation, yet other utility providers do.

If anyone knows of an alternative to this company I am more than willing to switch! It's disgusting that we're forced to use companies like this when they could care less about their customers. Water should be a fundamental right like breathing air.

I was in the field for a month for training. I get back find a shut off tag on my door scheduled for 7:00am. I go down to pay the bill and the building doesn't open until 7:30am! I try to pay my bill, they don't take debit cards-it's 2017!
When I contacted the manager, and explained to them my situation and offered to provide them with my orders proving that I was out of town for the whole month (billing cycle ) he still wouldn't take off the tag fee ($35.00), plus the cut off fee ($75.00) all he kept saying was that the shareholders might sue. What a way to treat military! So disappointed with them and their service, and their treatment of military.
