Los Poblanos Fields, Open Space was nice, I checked it out to get an idea, I will be hiking it this coming weekend, walking the land cost nothing. They do have parking. I didn't get to see the Maze at this time. But what caught my eye was a very huge tree that sits on the land, and it is awesome looking. The branches look like a tree trunk themselves.

Horrible, horrible experience going to the Lavender Festival there. They did a miserable job, underestimating the traffic issues. We were stuck in traffic for hours going in and later coming out of the venue. They had kids directing traffic! Rio Grande was a parking lot. They charged extra to pick your own. Just a bunch of booths with merch. Not the same as years ago. Sad. Never again!

Not a great location for the Lavender Fest. Probably fine for other events. Parking is not feasible or reasonable for large, fluctuating populations visiting when trying to enter via Rio Grande

The Maize Maze was so much fun! Spoiler alert. It’s not corn. It’s sorghum. They added a scavenger hunt to find 12 displays within the maze. Definitely added to the challenge. We totally got lost! Tons of fun!

Beautiful site for a walk or nature visit. We served at the Lutheran Family Services Refugee Farm Project. Beating back the Johnson grass, weeding the rows of food-to-be, and painting the tool shed. A great way to show kids how helping is worth our time!

This was a super over-priced extremely boring experience. The maze was so short it took less than ten minutes to weave through a few turns before coming out. The "fractal" aspect involved finding signs with a picture of a fractal on them...we thought the maze itself would be a fractal.The sorgum (or whatever that plant was that isn't corn) field was so short, we could see anyone over 4 feet tall walking through. We took our three kids and they all complained that it was "boring", "lame", "a waste of time" and kept asking what was supposed to be fun about it. $31 to listen to kids complain?! I can keep them home to do that for free. We will not return or recommend. There are better ways to spend your time and money...this place is not it.

A regular haunt when the Sandhill cranes return each year. Lovely spot to walk the two mile loop and look up at the big blue sky, or look out to the volcanoes on the West mesa, or east to the craggy Sandias. What a wonderful local treasure.
