I received multiple text messages from this company saying I qualified for a no cost whole house fan through Southern California Edison. That’s funny. Southern California Edison’s program expired in 2023. Based on the other reviews, I believe I was about to be scammed also. As far as the five star reviews, those are just fake. After I text the company rep regarding the expired Southern California Edison program, I have no longer received any more request for a meeting. Shame on them for being so dishonest!

Looks like I’m not the only one that unfortunately fell into this scam. They offered free insulation initially, and then scammed me into solar. FREEDOM FOREVER WAS HORRIBLE ALSO. so fast forward, it took over a YEAR for the solar to me up and running. I have all the documentation. They told me once the solar was done they would do the insulation. Well… guess what? I got ghosted also! I have left voicemails for Armando Lopez and once he answered and said “he’d look into it and send the information to his team” well it’s been two months. No response and now they won’t answer my calls. Good job guys! You got me good.

I had a consultation with Ivan and will proceed with installing solar panels on my home. Contrary to the 1-star reviews, this is not a scam, just a lack of understanding.

Rethink Energy is a complete SCAM! They push solar and will also stated you qualify for extra items. In my case, I qualified for the Solar, attic insulation, whole house fan and LED bulbs. After another company completed the solar project, Rethink Energy was suppose to complete the attic insulation, whole house fan and light bulbs. I've been calling for the past 4 months and they stated they are looking into it. Now, they have ghosted me and I can't reach anyone. Absolute SCAM! They sell you promises and after they receive their pay for the solar referral, they ghost you.

I'm just another who responded to the Facebook ad promising free attic insulation and fan. 10 months now. Now they tell me "it wasn't in the contract."

Scammers!

My 1st encounter with this company was through an advertisement. They reached out via text and we scheduled an appointment. A representative by the name of Leo showed up at our home on 12/19/23. Leo asked for a copy of our SCE bill to see which programs we’d qualify for. Leo advised us we were eligible for a $1,000 appliance credit, new Attic Insulation, and an upgrade to the electrical box outside. He also advised we were eligible for solar (which we could not participate in due to a prior whole house fan being installed) and then continued to explain an additional rate program Rethink offered which didn’t require solar. Leo advised an inspector would be out the next day, we thought it odd due to the holiday that there was immediate availability. Next day at noon rolls around and no one shows, I reach out to Leo via text to question the inspectors whereabouts. The message was read and not responded to.
After multiple attempts to reach Leo with no response we went back to the source of our scheduler and inquire about what is going on. The scheduler says Leo has been on vacation and the scheduler would follow up with the project advisor to get us an answer. Well 19 days has passed since reaching out to the scheduler and well over a month since our December appointment, with no response from Leo, the scheduler or this advisor. I did follow up requesting an update twice with the scheduler and still no response. Talk about crummy customer service, follow through, and empty promises… I really think they’re just trying to sell you solar or their energy rate “savings” as a priority with all the other programs as perks or more back end products. So you might want to ReThink about who you’re going to do business with and take it elsewhere.

What started as a consultation for getting a whole house fan installed with rebates (or potentially free according to Diana) turned into a sales pitch about solar. NEVER did they mention solar would be a required purchase in order to get the free/discounted whole house fan until after they were invited to our home. Solar wasn’t even brought up by them until the Friday before our appointment on Monday. Super misleading and shady, and just like the others, we now have people knocking on our door nonstop (just had one at almost 8pm!).
