I've lived at Reside for about a month and a half now and literally have no complaints! I loved the building I previously lived at and didn't think any place could top it, but Reside has exceeded my expectations. Matt made the apartment hunting process so easy. He goes above and beyond to make sure you have all the information you could ever need and more. The other staff has been so accommodating and kind as well. John at the front desk and the maintenance man (sorry, I can't remember his name!) are a pleasure. The location is unbeatable, amenities are always clean and functioning, the building is super secure, and I just love my new apartment so much! I always brag I have the biggest closet in the city. The skyline views from the roof are breathtaking. I also love all the public transportation options literally steps away from the building. You can easily get anywhere in the city from here! Can't rave about this place enough.

First, I want to say thank you to the entire staff at Reside on Green Street, Krystal, (Property Manager) Matt (My Leasing Specialist) and the entire concierge team! When I first walked into Reside on Green Street, I was treated like Royalty! Matt assisted me with my apartment search and with all my move in needs and questions. He was pleasure to work with! On my move in day Krystal called to welcome me to the community, and offered any assistance. I felt like I belonged. My apartment was clean, fresh, and cozy! The Concierge team (Steve, John, and the rest are super nice, friendly, helpful, concerned, and just a joy to be around! I look forward to being here for years. This is home.

Management team at Reside on Green Street has been amazing! Krystal Black and Allie Walter have been truly so helpful and they both go out of their way to help you in anything you need. After my move in survey, they reached out to follow up with any minor concerns right away such as scratches on the floor and the next day I had Derrick come in and do his very best to satisfy my concerns. He was so nice and helpful! Truly appreciate the concierge staff as well, they are all so welcoming and helpful with any parking questions for guests. The building itself is a cool aesthetic and instantly you get positive energy. I love it here!!

My partner and I had a great experience with this apartment complex. The transition from tours to securing the apartment was smooth, thanks to Matt's exceptional assistance and professionalism. The leasing team provided informative and helpful tours, and the apartment itself is lovely and well-maintained. We are excited to move in, and we highly recommend this property for anyone looking for their next home!

I never leave reviews, but this one is really well deserved....If I could give this place zero stars I would. I've been a tenant for 2.5 years and can only tell you that if you are considering to rent here, please save yourself and your sanity and just don't do it.
Pros
Great location & views
Friendly front desk and cleaning crew
Reside Athletics program
Cons
Management:
HORRIBLE, and I can't stress that enough, especially since being taken over by Reside Living. Not helpful at all, rude, and they (Kati in particular) treat you like you are getting paid to live there and not the other way around. Far far far from a luxurious experience.
Price and price increases:
When I first moved in, my rent was in the $1800s for a 1 bedroom, and since new management took over, same units go for well over $2350. $550 up in about 2.5 years, you do the math...In the meantime, nothing about the units has been updated. The value for the money is below average as well.
Corners were cut when this place was being built:
My apartment flooded 7 times already (5 times with disgustingly dirty sewage water from bathroom ceiling, and 2 times from the laundry room) because of issues with pipes (see photos attached). Many of my neighbors are experiencing the same. When I requested rent credit because of it as my stuff was ruined and I wasn't able to use my bathroom for days on several occasions, they were not accommodating at all. Most times, it took days to fix it, and I am still afraid I'll wake up in the middle of the night with another flood. I am actually pretty sure that structurally the building doesn't even fit the code (I know there were some gas leak issues in the building as well). Nuts and bolts are falling off the cabinets, there are constant water and bathroom exhaust fans issues (mine hasn't been working for months now), we've been without electricity and running water many times, central air brings in so much dirt and dust to my place that I have to buy my own filters to put on top of the vents in addition to the usual filters (see photo for a vent filter I had on for only 2 weeks and how black it is...). The ceiling by the windows has cracks in it so there is always water dripping into my apartment when it's raining or when snow is melting (photo attached).
Pet policy (if you have a dog):
New management is taking in some pretty insanely aggressive dogs. They stick to the (stupid) restricted breed list and that's about it. So if your dog is not on the restricted breed list, but is aggressive, you are good to go. I used to love having my dogs here, and now I have to watch every corner because there are literally like demonic non-breed-restricted dogs everywhere that bark, growl, and are unfriendly to other dogs. Pet rent was also increased, but no additional amenities or perks were added for pets. The dog run that's on the rooftop (which is the ONLY pet amenity) is very dirty at all times.
Security:
Cars have been broken into in the garage (where parking is overpriced as it is) and they didn't even let the tenants know. They just put up signs saying "we are not responsible for any theft or damage to the vehicles". Bikes were stolen from there too in past.
Pool:
Overcrowded; there are pool rules, but no system to enforce it. Also check out how "clean" it looks in the photos on some days.
I could go on with more issues, but do you really need more? I got sucked into an unfortunately long lease, but luckily the end of it is near. I've been renting for 10+ years, never had any issues anywhere, but this place....All neighbors who moved in when I did are already long gone too, because it's just that good....

Recently moved into Reside on Green Street about a month ago, and I don't have anything negative to say. Matt assisted me throughout the entire process and answered all of my questions. He was a huge help and made the move in process as painless as it could be! Additionally, Steve, John, and the entire concierge staff have been great to work with. The unit itself is stunning with phenomenal views of the city! The gym is a great size, and it has all of the necessities. Location was an important aspect to me. So having the blue line station less than a block away is great. Grocery stores and tons of restaurants are all within walking distance or a short drive. Overall, it's been a pleasure living here!

I love this building & I love the people. Leaving this review a 2 because you should avoid this property management company at all costs - unless you can afford astronomical raises in rent every year & if that’s the case, move into a new build in the area. I moved into this building in 2022 from Arizona & I never would have moved in if I would have known they were going to try to raise my rent $300 upon my first renewal (plus a raise in utilities & parking), going into my second lease they wanted to raise base rent an additional $130 plus the increase in utilities. I truly did not want to move for quite awhile after making such a large move initially. While they do keep the building immaculate, they do absolutely nothing to warrants raising their rent “2-12% based on market rates”. If you love the building, move in but be warned. They love to act like they’re even remotely in line with charging similar prices to the new builds going up all over the West Loop - even though the building isn’t even in the West Loop. I will absolutely NEVER live in a Reside building again.
The Kastle fob system doesn’t work. It pulls up Apple Pay to enter into specific doors, the app itself doesn’t work & it’s been installed for over a year.
Regardless, loved John, Steve & all of the employees on site, right down to the cleaning crew - they were a huge part of the reason I stayed the first time. Good riddance to this place.

I had a great time living at Reside on Green Street. From the management to the concierge staff, everyone deeply cares about their residents here. You can’t beat the location on this building and the surrounding neighborhood. If I wasn’t leaving Chicago I would absolutely stay here!
