I've been a PowerMarket customer for years...first when we lived in a house, and then again when we downsized into our condo. It is the easiest and most efficient way to participate in solar and get savings immediately. No upfront investment, no installing solar panels, no switching service providers, and no dealing with your utility provider. It is literally that easy.....sign up and save on your bill. They do all the background stuff on the community solar projects and work with the utility companies. They get credit back for the electric generation and then pass the savings on to you. There is no separate billing. We just see a 10% discount on our monthly electric bill. Seamless and hassle-free. I couldn't believe how easy it was when we first signed up. As a bonus...their customer service is also professional and courteous...actually really nice to deal with. I definitely recommend them.

I originally signed up for this because it is the right thing to do... we want solar energy. I stayed for two years, unfortunately the cost is about double what I was paying our regular power company - we hoped it would go down at some point, but because it didn't, I decided to cancel in August 2024. I was told several times that I would have two more bills (by an employee who is no longer with the company - and I was just told was let go for giving the wrong information to people). I contacted them when more bills came in, they helped me understand it was two bills to them, and they are two months behind from the power company billing. (This came from another employee - who I was just told no longer works there, as she gave wrong information to people.) I asked if December would be my last bill from them, looking back, I guess they skirted around my question - but definitely led me to believe it would be. Come January, I never received the emailed invoice (unsure if this is a problem on their end or mine - but I had never missed one before) and money was debited from my account. I asked for a refund of the money, after finally getting ahold of someone - and was told a manager would call me back. One called me back two days later, I requested a refund again - as SEVERAL employees told me the wrong information, and with knowing they let them go for this, they must have to rectify the issues they have caused. Was told no. At this time, I was walked through how the billing works on their end, which was nice to know - unfortunately five months too late,.

PowerMarket and GS Power Partners have been great to work with. We have two commercial accounts that include residential properties on the community solar program. So far, the program has saved us the advertised 10% without any out-of-pocket expenses. The program hasn't increased our tax bill as a small business. Our two complaints were finding the correct provider that has allowance for changes in usage and array output; And, finding the correct project that wasn't deforesting protected areas like the Adirondacks or subverting natural waterways adjacent to lakes and similar.

PowerMarket is the perfect way to get solar to your home without having to instal panels. All you have to do is send them -I'd recommend 6 months of your electricity bill - and they'll do the rest with figuring out the kilowatts you need and connecting with your utility provider. Plus they are super prompt and knowledgeable. My customer service rep, Katie was awesome! It's a great way to save money and be kind to the environment.

They forced me to pay for electricity that i didnt use and wont refund expired power credits after 6 months of trying to get resolution. I was part of this for 3 years. Its was a constant battle of over generation and expired energy credits. I had 3337kwh worth of credits expire they refuse to reimburse. You will not save money with them and it is a ton of hassle. I really wanted to use solar power but they made it not worth it.
Edited to add. They finally refunded me two days after I made this review.

Our sign up included a bonus card that we did receive. We are seeing small savings which is great since it's free to sign up.

A couple of years ago this was newer and a view glitches with Central Hudson needed to be worked out. (CH side from what we saw)

This company does what it says. We do receive money off our bill. I've asked many questions and they have patiently answered them all.

Why 4 star when all seems great?
We would like a higher percentage for what we receive.

We are very happy with PowerMarket. We have the peace of mind of local solar electricity without having to install solar panels. So when I run my air conditioning all summer, I know we are not contributing to global warming. PSEG electricity is natural gas powered, better than oil or coal, but still contributes to global warming. The electricity is from the main power grid and in conjunction with PSEG. There has never been a hitch. We get a decent discount 15%o or 20% on our electric bill. That's a sizable monthly discount. The company has been very responsive to any questions or inquiries that I have had, good customer service. We have been with PowerMarket several years.
