I have nothing but praise for Power On, Inc. and its life-saving backup generator. My family and I went through the unthinkable in February 2021 when a winter storm left us without power for a terrifying six days. In order to stay warm, we had to sleep in our car. As our car's gasoline tank got lower, panic and desperation set in. It was a scary event, and we thought the worst might happen.

I’m still waiting on the installation of my whole house standby generator. The owner Richard Scardino provided me the quote and it was competitive enough for me to sign on. I put down a 50% deposit. It’s been three months now and I’m still waiting for any information on an actual installation date. I’m now aware they are in a business restructuring. From previous reviews this has been a common occurrence. Knowingly accepting new clients and misrepresenting when the customers job start/completion date is unsatisfactory. I truly feel for the other customers and the employees who are taking the brunt of all the complaints. I see no other recourse then disputing my credit card transactions and getting a full refund. I’ll update my review as required.
September 25th has come and gone with no installation date.
Thankfully my credit card company refunded my deposit after I disputed it.

My husband and I put down a $6000 deposit this summer for a generator to be installed this fall. They promised an install date of Nov 6. Well, Nov 6 came and went with NO word from Power On, despite us reaching out multiple times. They aren't answering their phone, returning messages, or responding to emails after taking our money. We fear we have been scammed out of $6000 and are hiring an attorney to take this on.

Unfortunately, I am another customer of Power On that placed a down payment of $8200 for a home generator back in March. After frequent emails and phone calls finally got an email in September saying they were restructuring, my project is one of their number one priorities and scheduled the installation on 10/18 (today). I have been trying to reach them since last week to confirm the appointment but no response. Finally I called to check the status and I was informed the acquisition is taking longer than expected and they are waiting on approval from the state department which they were expecting beginning of Oct. I’m not sure why the state department has to approve a private sale or why it is taking this long but I’m getting uncomfortable as I feel I’m being scammed out of my money. I Will do what others did and find a way to get my money back via either credit card company or attorneys. Please save your money and find another company

I’m happy to change my review if the installation is done by early to mid November but for now I’m telling any prospective customer to be aware of this scam and don’t be a victim like me and many others hard working Americans

Signed a contract to install a 24K Generac back-up generator and 500 gal propane tank back in February. I was told it would be 3-4 months to install. Since then promised installation dates have come and gone. Generic emails promise I'm a priority, but nothing has been rescheduled, no work has been completed and nothing has been done. I have asked for a refund on numerous occasions. Phone calls and texts have not been returned. I will update this review as appropriate.
