worst water company ever!!! I'm on a community well and reported a hard water problem because it's causing the waxy harsh feeling on our skin and hair and you can not get it off. I had go buy more water just cook and drink cause it's not safe at all. When I called the office to report the problem of hard water issues the lady basically told me she can't do anything about it until I get my neighbors to report the issue also can't just go by my word. I told her I don't pay my neighbors for the water bill I pay Piedmont Water so I'm bringing it to your attention. Then when my husband called them the lady started screaming at him then hung up on him.
I'm not trying turn into a b but when our water is not healthy for my family that's where their crossing the line for me. Never mind it will mess up our big appliances where there be another expense due to this water company. City water is better than is company!

Honestly when i bought at Lake Sinclair, now more than 18 years ago, I worked for a water filtration company, so i took in a water sample to have tested and found the water was very pure but did have a high dirt content. We put a dual system filter on my house, the first one filters out the big stuff and can be changed frequently, if needed, and the 2nd one is a large carbon filter that then purifies the water. This carbon filter is changed out 1 time per year. They have been very responsive when i have called including today. i called to report what i thought might be a leak at one of their wells, and the call was handled very professionally and put in a ticket to have this checked.
For everyone on Piedmont water, i would just recommend putting a good filter system in and you won't really need to be gripping and complaining about dirt in your water all of the time. Sorry to be so blunt, but it is an easy fix and relieves so much stress. It will free up so much of your time.
Just wanted to put in my 2 cents worth since i am a long time resident and really have had very few issues to really complain about over the years.

This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. Now spent several hours and phone calls trying to resolve a water bill that is outrageous due to a leak. The tally is now over $1700 and $150 a month late fees and they continue to charge me even though I switched the service over to Baldwin County. Their rates are half the cost and will provide one service call free per year. The water always smelled and this is a second home which is rarely used so very little water. So frustrated I contacted the Georgia department of consumer affairs. On my behalf and hopefully anybody else that would like to join I have a legal binding complaint and a file number. If enough people participate, it'll get to the Attorney Generals office. Based on the complaints I see here there's more than enough information for them to investigate. The complaint number
for the attorney general of consumer complaints is 540412. In addition, I intend to go to the Baldwin County courthouse and file an additional complaint. Truly sad to see that a private company would operate in a fashion like this. I will also be filing a complaint on the Better Business Bureau site.

As everyone has said, wish there was a lower rating. The water is brown all the time. Toilets, tubs, washing machine, and even concrete pads we have washed down are brown. Don't even wash light colors. We now use a $500.00 filtration system. Not everyone can afford that. Their latest message on the billing that if you owe more than $30.00 or are more than 30 days late on your bill they will disconnect with no warning. They will then charge a $75.00 reconnect fee. How do I charge for my own filtration system since the water is so bad it ruins everything it comes in contact with? This company is horrible. I use lake water to wash my boat and cars too avoid the staining from my drinking water?!!! Truly I would not let my dog drink Piedmont water. 10 thumbs DOWN!!!

Honestly a very irresponsible company. They told me that the meter didn't work for a year in my previous location. 3 months later after my moving i started getting bills for 600$. They told me it was a prorated from my previous home. How can they do that? Any serious company would sent you a letter explaining the whole situation. They just ask you to pay $699 out of pocket. THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE FACT THAT THEY'RE THE ONLY WATER SERVICE IN THIS AREA.

Brown water all-the-time! When it is clear, it often tastes like pool water with way too much chlorine. Water gets shutoff without notice at least a couple times per month. Incompetent and irresponsible management. Unhelpful customer service. I will be getting the water tested and will report back. Time for BBB and/or EPA to take note

I just love how they constantly turn the water off for work. With no warnings. No, wait. They do sometimes give you a warning call. AFTER the water has already been turned off. And I just love how much they have to do it. Especially when you have kids & a baby. Can't wash dirty baby bottles or clothes with spit up on them. They get to just sit there & sour & stink up the house. Just love that smell. And then all the bottles sit there with old milk in them. Till you don't have a clean bottle left. I just absolutely love this company & don't have any idea why I would wish that we had another option.

I have had more water outages in the three years that I have been with this company than I have ever experienced in my life. No heads up what so ever, not even for scheduled maintenance. There is absolutely no ense of urgency to get water turned back on. It’s usually off a full day at a time just like it has been today, during the holidays, and I have out-of-town company staying with me. It’s ridiculous.
