I contacted Photon Brothers to investigate adding battery back up to my existing Solar system that had been installed about 12 years ago and also installing a charging station in the event I purchase on electric vehicle in the future.
From my first phone inquiry to the install of my system, I was impressed with the entire team at Photon Brothers. Every member is knowledgeable, customer service oriented. My options were explained in an easy to understand manner and I was provided a detailed written proposal.
We have a bigger system than normal so the install took three days total but our power was only down for a short while on the third day. The installers were very professional, kept us informed each step of the install and were very respectful of our home and kept a clean work environment throughout the install.
The system was up and running immediately and has been running smoothly each day. We now have complete complete solar power during the day and battery power at night with an extra battery reserve for cloudier days.
I couldn’t be happier with Photon Brothers and would highly recommend them for your solar, battery back up and EV car charging needs.

I chose Photon Brothers because my solar installation was complex and they had a good reputation for custom installs. They were also cost competitive. Photon Brothers did a great job for me under relatively difficult and challenging conditions. I had many roof angles and shadowing effects to overcome. They were very creative and provided estimates of system performance which after the first full year, I am happy to say, were incredibly accurate. The install was fast and the team was courteous, clean and efficient. The project lead, Andrew, did a great job answering my many questions and keeping me informed.

Photon brothers are the best in the solar business! Corey was absolutely amazing as the project manager! It truly was a team effort every member of the team was extremely professional and set the standard for the solar setup process. We have to again thank Corey he help get the best deal to be able to afford the system.cam and Monte helped find the best rebates and Sam with the install team did a clean,safe and efficient install and layla went rounds with PG&E...our solar system install was a journey and would take pages to go in to detail.if your looking for the best solar system with the BEST team in the business photon brothers is the standard.Thank you again

I recently (April 2024) had Photon Brothers install solar panels and a Testla battery at my home. Photon Brothers are an excellent company with great customer service and a highly trained planning and installation crew. Our Solar Consultant Cameron and Project Manager Andrew provided me with great information without pressure, and answered all of my questions so I knew what to expect every step of the way. Their prices were highly competitive. Their planning crew paid close attention to details that others might have missed. Their installation crew was really great also, triple checking that everything was done correctly. I couldn't be happier with the results. It looks great and I'm looking forward to having PG&E come out and make the final inspection and connection. I did this on Earth Day - a great gesture for the environment and for the savings on our utility bills.

These guys even completed our installation in a near-downpour, because that's when they said it would be done. I was able to navigate the Photon Brothers website to get in touch with the service coordinator Kat. They listened to my issue and even though the solar system by SunPOWER was no longer available, they honored the warranty from their company and sent Kevin to review and remedy my problem on the spot. It was only days from communicating with them to the team getting my system up and running. Thank you so very much. We had several companies give us quotes on a system before choosing Photon Brothers. Monty was super easy to work with. We are in rural Nipomo, and I think we're a little unconventional as far as the layout of our system. We weren't sure if it was going to work but Theo, the electrician, came out and did a great job designing our system and found solutions to all of our concerns. Much to our delight, they had a customer had to reschedule their install and we were scheduled just a few days after signing our proposal. The installation was seamless and professional. We were happy with how fast the permit was approved by the county and how quickly we were given permission to operate by PG&E. Already in the first few weeks we've had 2 PG&E power outages (rural Nipomo!) that did not affect us at all, and one was all day! Our system is well sized for our needs. Andrew, our project manager, also was easy to work with a quick to reply with our hundreds of questions. I would highly recommend Photon Brothers.

Installation went very smoothly and took only a day and a half. The only problems arose during commissioning, but these were quickly solved and the system now works perfectly. Overall, we are very satisfied and the Photon Brothers staff did a great job.
