Decent at their customer service.

Decent speed responding to outages.

Decent reliability, in the past two years I remember a couple outages that took a few hours to resolve.

As well as a couple that took less than an hour.

But they are usually short a few linemen and always hiring so if that bothers you, apply to work there.

Anyways:

Residential electricity rates are 12-13¢ per kilowatt Hour. ( plus monthly service fee )

Monthly recent charges have been $109- $148. For a medium house, Ac set to 75° during hot summer days, 66° at night.

Set AC to economic mode.
Get LED lightbulbs or CFL's

PES serves Giles county and surroundings, 13,000 customers As far as I know.

Large solar farms supply most of the electricity.

Financial reports are easily found online.

This month I received notice by Electric bill was for June $692.00. Last month (May) was $250 and June Last yr was $368. We were on vacation with no one home for 1 of the weeks during this billing time. I was shocked. I called and was told it would be looked into. I never received an answer so I went to the office to see what I could find out. The lady was very nice and said something does look off. She said it could be that an our central heat and air could have gotten stuck, but we have gas heat and when I called the company that works on our unit they said it was unlikely. We had a water leak in the tube that goes to the refrigerator ice maker and it was suggested that could have made our hot water heater run constantly. It started as a small leak because I did not hear water running. It wasn't until the water meter guy suggested that we may have a leak (thank you Pulaski Water and Gas) that I called in someone to fix the leak. Our electric use went back to normal. So we had a high water bill and an electric bill together of more that $1,000 dollars. When you are retired it is a hard pill to take. I was told that other systems such as in Lawrenceburg help people out in situations like this. It would have been appreciated when high usage is noticed that home owners like me be contacted to let them know there could be a problem. I felt like PES did nothing to help or suggest any solutions. I l was told to just pay my bill. I have lived here for nearly 50 years and have always paid my bill on time (usually early and never complained).

We were lucky enough to be in Phase 2 of the fiber internet grant. We were told we would have it this summer…but we have it now! The communication has been great from PES and the contractor that installed it was friendly and had us hooked up in no time. The cost is about what we were paying for our very SLOOOOW internet. We are loving our fiber internet! Thank you PES! —The Johnsons

This is a new service so I cannot speak to the quality of service. I can say that it was a pleasurable experience dealing with the employees and customer service reps at PES. Everything was set up within a matter of minutes and the connections were made in a timely manner.

I have had PES Energize for about 13 years now. I have the cable/phone/internet package and am extremely pleased with it. Great service at an affordable price. I have never had any issues other than my router was not sufficient for the internet speed and amount of users in the house. They came out, replaced my router, and had me running all in the same day. The customer service has always been amazing with 24 hour support available and very friendly, knowledgeable, professional staff. I highly recommend PES Energize.

I wouldn’t give any stars if given the option. The representatives are rude on the phone. They send out the disconnect notice on the day OF disconnect and then tell you there’s nothing they can do. Would be nice to get a 5 day notice. And that’s if you even get a notice or bill at all. Is it hard to be decent people and to understand that some families struggle and try to make it off of one income?

I thought for a minute this would turn out good for me today. It didn't. While paying my bills (x3 addresses) I thought I'd put my homes on the waiting list for WIFi that's scheduled for my area. It turns out, that although all 3 homes we own are on the same road, the wifi installation will stop just before my properties begin. And my area was "awarded" to Ardmore phone company. And no one had any answers on if Ardmore had plans to get Wi-Fi going. So I'm out a lot of money, and I still live in a dead zone. All in all, been a good morning.

I went in to set up my electric and internet for my new apartment and the ladies were so accommodating and patient with me about getting my paperwork in order, and even let me email the correct papers once I left. They are always so friendly when you call or walk in, and the apps for bill pay or internet settings/usage are *super* user friendly!
