This is a SCAM. This is how they operate
- Their employees go door to door and knock the door ( very unsual in US)
- They say they are from PG & E ( Electicity and Gas Utility in SF Bay Area) and want to check the bill to save on Gas Bill
- They have PEAK 6 id so on pressing they say they are from PEAK 6 who can supply Gas
- They check your bill and they say your Gas bill will be caped to $40 if we sign up
- They take all your information and sign you up

After sign up you receive a letter from them and PG & E informing that you are signing up and it will take 1 or 2 billing cycle to be effective.

Unfortunately when you receive your bill, you will notice that your bill has shoot up by around $40 instead of decreasing. Now, this is because while they charges you $40 for generation, PG&E still charges you for delivery. And don't know how it works that PG&E original generation + delivery charges are almost same as just delivery charges. But that means you are paying $40 more. The representative never disclosed that. In fact, he checked my bill and told I will save if I signed up, despite knowing it will increase the bill.

Now if you try to cancel, it again take 1 or 2 billing cycle to take effect. This is the strategy. This is scam where they are guaranteed to take $80 per customer. If the customer do not notice for few months then that is a bonus.

When I tried to call or email them for refund, they bluntly refused saying it is in the terms. The interaction with customer care representative is very hostile and they simply put a blame on you. This a shady practice and they don't care what a customer thinks. All they care is to pocket $40 per month until the customer is able to cancels. I am not sure how PG&E allow such incompetent and FRAUD company to be partner for delivering gas.

Do not fall for them. Do not sign up with them.

This is a scam with the sole objective of pocketing $40 per month per customer as long as customer don't notice. Since sign up and cancellation takes at least 1 billing cycle they are guaranteed a profit of minimum 2 months.

They do not disclose that the customer will be charged by PG&E for the delivery charges and they will charge $40 for generation. All they tell you is you will pay flat fee $40 no matter your usage. They do not explain you what bill should you expect after the change. Unfortunately PG&E is allowing such shady companies to be parter for gas generation.

So beware and don't fall for this SCAM.

Great program for the gas on my pge bill. Somebody came my door very polite and honest he said the gas rate will stay at 40 dollars a month for my gas. Do save on the gas. Not bad at all not a scam

Was approached by salesman at my frontdoor and he said on my bill will be a protected amount guarantee for gas portion through pge. NEVER once did he mentioned anything about SWITCHING service. He had me sign a few papers and went I went back through I was to be paying $40 a month! Such a scam. They aren't transparent at all. Please don't open your door to them or sign like I did!

My bill is low only 3 Months out the year but 200+ every other month. There is a flat fee of 40 a month every month which is still saving me thousands a year. It's not a scam, not fraud. If your normal bill is over $40 most the year then this program is totally worth it.

My gas bill increase after this service. They are fraud. They issued me $400 bills.
