I went to pick up something which my local store didn't have in stock, but was disappointed with one thing. Being handicapped, I could not use the assigned space because someone, not handicapped was parked in the spot. Even though the spot was painted, there was no sign on the wall and when I mentioned it to an employee, she acted like she didn't care. Although this store is out of the way, they sometimes have an item which my local doesn't, but with an attitude like that, I travel a little further and go to Lowe's. I try to support small businesses when I can, but not when they do not seem to care. No more Palmer.

I was looking for a refill tube and clip for a toilet and none of the major hardware stores had it...but Ace did! Ernie was so helpful. It was my first visit at an Ace Hardware store and it turned out to be a very positive and successful one. They even had a 25% off coupon l was able to use on my purchase.

I was told to go to Ace Hardware to get something for my kitchen sink. My parents have always went to this particular location. As, I walked in I was greeted at the door with a big smile by a friendly man who knew exactly what I needed . Mannie was knowledgeable and gave me the correct instructions to get the job done right . You know the jingle "Ace is the place..."! Well, Palmer Brothers Ace Hardware is a great asset to the community. You never have to go hunting for an associate to find something you need or a suggestion on what might be the best for you. They are always willing to bring it out to your car plus they are super friendly! Hoping to use their handyman service soon!

Came here a few times to pick up something on short notice and have also tried order ahead for pick up. They have some of the friendliest staff, always super helpful. They offer curbside pickup so you don't even have to leave your car which is awesome. The store clean and usually well stocked.

Ace Hardware gave me Mike Wahousekey!

Also, I'd just bought a new car and everyone wanted to charge over $100 for a spare key. Ace did it fast and inexpensively, and they're the only shop that does.

I also got everything I needed for a hydroponic garden and they found replacement screws based on the hole dimensions alone. Lifesavers, all of you.

I had an awesome experience with the staff today at Palmer Ace Hardware in River Edge. Specifically Manny and Ernie were great. I needed something bulky that required going down steps to their lower level to get. I have an issue with balance and am leery of steps. I called to explain my dilemma and was told how to locate an employee to access the lower level through shipping and receiving. The gentleman (not sure if it was Manny or Ernie) directed me on where to park and safely got me in to the store. I found my item but learned from the other gentleman that the registers were all upstairs. Hearing my dilemma he offered to take my item and payment upstairs for me, then returned!

I made sure to call management to express my sincerest appreciation and acknowledge these two gentleman for their kindness and consideration. The man who took my items for me could have just as easily walked it upstairs and had me go out and drive around to get in the main door. Both were amazing and so is the store!

This is a nice hardware store smaller than the big box places but bigger than the home town hardware store of yesteryear. They seem to have some of everything. Plumbing, painting, electric, car stuff. They have 2 floors so there is plenty of space.
It's on the corner of Kinderkamack Ave. Not the biggest parking lot. I was there during the week so it wasnt bad. I imagine on Sat you may have to park on the side street. I'd rather go there than fight 17 traffic to go to one of the big places
