On Feb 13, 2024 a person we knew was helping with a pluming project and was digging a hole following the sewer line. He accidently nicked a orang 1/2" PVC hose which turned out to be a PG&E supply line to the location. Everyone checked for gas and power lines and everything appeared to be on the opposite side of the unit. There was a small leak, so the guy safely stopped the leak and we waited until the next day being it was late and PG&E would be forced to work overtime. This repair person stated he could repair the line and apparently had done so in the past. I told him, I would call PG&E and have them fix it. Note, this is a gas line that has not been in service for at least 15 years. They sent a supervisor and a gas crew guy, in pick up trucks. The repair took all of 45 mins and they used a pvc pipe coupler to repair it. We were then interrogated demanding information on the responsible. I explained he was a friend of a friend and was Mexican and I didn't know all of his information. I was then contacted by a WMA who threatened me and told me his team would obtain the information because it was a group of retired police officer who were good at getting the information they needed. After failing to locate the repair guy, they sent us a bill for $2500.00 . I explained to them, I wasn't paying $2500.00 for a 45 min repair that took a $26.00 part from Home Depot. "Oh but sir your paying for all the personnel, equipment and the hardware" So on Jan 21 2025 I received a bill from a collection agency for $1971.15 . My Next stop is filling a complaint with the CPUC. So the moral of the story is, if this ever happens again, I will repair the line in the manner they would, bury the line and cover it up, and let it sit dormant for another 20 years. Just one more story of this Utility company screwing its customers. In fact I'm not a customer, there was NO service to this building for 20+ years.

PG and E recommends turning off unneeded lights when you leave a room. "Save up to $25. annually."
Wow!! Think of it you could save $.06 per day.
It's your fault your power bills are outrageous.

They are clueless, my energy bill doubled using what I always used, I was scared and I see in the groups that I'm not the only one. We must seek legal help to stop these price discrepancies charged by PG&E

Wow I heard you euthanize cats that are on the property not even giving them a chance with the money you spend to do that you could spay and neuter so there won't be litters of cats but the way your doing this doesn't solve anything but throwing away money.

This phone number is a scammer’s phone number. They will call you to tell you that your electricity will be shut off today if you do not call another 1800 number. They will pretend to be PG&E and try to take payment from you. Do not fall for it. Beware!
