Not very helpful in starting an account. We went to set up an account at the office, and was told I wouldn’t be able to make an account without a Driver’s license and 2 other ID’s, and I had just gotten my wallet stolen with all my information. But a few days later we call and all the gentleman had to do was search my name up and set it up within 5 minutes. So I just don’t understand why being in person is a lot harder and why the office couldn’t just search me up like the gentleman did on the phone. Just not a very organized program.

Made a payment online and received an email confirming the payment and saying all was good and the myozarks app reflected the bill was paid. It wasn’t until nearly a week later they let me know the payment didn’t actually go through and they added an extra $30 charge to my account. When trying to contact support they refused the remove the charge despite their service telling me it was paid in the first place. Terrible way to treat customers.

Like a few other reviewers, there was a failure in the transaction from my bank account. Rather than send an email.or a phone call we get disconnected with a combined 80$ in reconnect fees.
But don't worry, they have a complete monopoly on local services so your stuck with them. Feels great! ?

Ozark Electric stopped sending out bills to me and the online access is not showing bills that are available. I have signed up with direct deposit online so I dont miss a payment and even though it says it is complete the payments are not going through. I am not having issues with any other other companies direct payment billing. There is no one to contact because the offices have closed. There is no other contact information being provided on the recorded message or online for me to get help.

This company is a joke with very poor customer service. Disconnected with no notice. We have lived here for *5 weeks* when I came home to a disconnect notice. Whoever disconnected it had only left a few minutes before, but they said I would have to wait all day to be reconnected. I never received a first bill and the "second" bill was sitting in the mailbox when I was disconnected. With a date of one week before, that is RIDICULOUS! The bill also said nothing about a disconnect date, simply that I had a balance due. There was no disconnect notice. We didn't even know we had received a bill at all! We have only lived here for 5 weeks. This isn't normal. I got home about 10 minutes after they disconnected me and immediately called and paid what was due. The person I talked to was very rude. They said I would not have power all day because it was their "policy." I work from home and I have children, it's ridiculous to have to go all day without power. You should NEVER be disconnected after 5 weeks, no other company would do that. They said that it was my fault that I didn't receive the "first" bill. So I guess blaming customers is how this company does business? Why would I expect a bill after living here for one week (that is when they said it was sent?) This company is terrible and has very bad customer service. I had to pay a re-connect fee for NO REASON. They should warn you before disconnecting, I would have paid the bill if they would have sent it to me! What a joke.

This isn’t a review about the electric service, but a review regarding the digging that Ozarks Electric did on our property this summer. We have easements on our property that required digging this summer to install fiber optic cables. A third party came out to dig in our yard and we weren’t happy with the sod that was installed following the digging. I contacted Ozarks and was assisted almost immediately. The employee (Jeremy) even video called me to inspect the quality of our sod from out of town and ensured that the company was there the following Monday to lay down new sod/correct the problem. Great service!
