my father lives in Opelika he is a disabled veteran the bank he uses holds his VA money sometimes to the 5th of the month he lives alone and lives month to month when he goes to pay his electricity bill he is charged a high $50 dollar late fee. here in Dothan . Dothan utilities allows 8 days to pay your bill up to $10 late fee. Opelika power services is all about Greed..

A family of two adults work a 5-day week use LED lighting keep the heat thermostat at 71° when it is cold at night the heat goes off the doors are left open all night long because we have security doors no AC run when it's cool out but the light bill is still 150 a month and when you call these folks they tell you oh your light bill is cheaper than everybody else's what a crock and when I tell them that I have proof that our light bill is not the cheapest the person says oh I'll let you speak to my supervisor don't you just love how people make excuses and lie but if you like to them then they want you to be headed

It’s sad that you’re charged a late fee if you pay your bill THE DAY ITS DUE after a certain time. Time shouldn’t matter. The DAY i pay my bill should matter.

I haven't had terrible customer service - it's just that it takes a long time to get anyone on the phone and then the online payment system is plain terrible! I have to pay my trash on one site and my internet on another - for the same company. I'm not sure what they're trying to do, but it's horribly inefficient. Half the time it doesn't even remember my password correctly and it refuses to send me a way to correct it via email, so I have to call. Then I can't make a new password unless I give my old password. Come on people! If I could remember that, then I wouldn't be in the predicament in the first place. The internet service is great, but the trash service is sad. Unfortunately, I have no other choices.

Trying to get fiber is more of a hassle than dealing with Charter (due to always being referred to one woman in OPS office who is a real b|tch) so I continue to recommend cable internet for businesses clients. I can't be the only one who has experienced similar issues, so maybe that's why they are losing money....
