They attempted to install a Nest thermostat. After several visits spanning more than 10 hours, I was left to figure it out for myself. The technician connected the thermostat to my hot water heater instead of the correct heating zone, told me the Nest error code indicating insufficient power was due to my wifi being slow, and then tried to tell me I needed a power adapter despite the furnace board having a power bus for that purpose. There were numerous other issues like the company sending the first technician back out despite me asking for someone else. The guy spent most of the time on the phone with a supervisor describing the color of wires and had no idea what he was doing

Did not complete install process because our thermostat wasn’t fully charged. Now we are having issues with it and they can not come out for 3+ weeks to fix it even though we are in the 60 day guarantee window. Poor service, clearly do not stand by their work.

Horrible do not hire this company
1) the installer of my simply safe alarm system kept standing on my furniture instead of using a ladder which I told him he could use mine. Nope he kept standing on my furniture

2) he broke a lamp, damage an expensive piece of art work , scratched a expensive credenza, soiled my silk velvet sofa, put his other foot on the top of the box of my sterling silver set and cracked the lid.

Ontech support said they would have someone get back to me in 72 hours. It has been 5 days and no one has yet to get back to me

They caused more damage in my house than if it was broken into.

Do not hire this company the installers are horrible. I paid over $700 dollars and the installer did not check it before he left and so I had to finish connecting the systems to the WiFi

Ontech refused to refund my money and they will not replace anything that was danaged or broken.

They are just terrible. Dont respect times, don't give enough information about delays, dont prioritize the customer. Booked for 10am, technician got to my place almost 3pm! We organize our days to make sure we can attend the work but there is NO RESPECT for customer’s time.
The technicians though, EXTREMELY good and friendly, they also suffer from the poor scheduling / information system OnTech has.

This company deserves zero stars. Worst customer service ever. They came to look at my thermostat and took apart my HVAC and failed to put it back together. Panels were not attached correctly and screws were laying everywhere. Contacted them and they are impossible to deal with. Had to pay someone else to put it back together.

It has been a fantastic experience using OnTech to install my televisions, doorbell, and cameras. Technicians were friendly and professional. They respected my home and gave great knowledgeable advice. The installations were easy and service was fast. Setting appointments and ordering services are so easy to do online. OnTech made everything stress free!!!

Ontech smart services lacks the skills to provide the services. They are the opposite of smart. I recently ordered a diagnostic service for a ring device that was already in the house that i just moved into. Before booking the service, i spoke to one of their agents and explained my issue that i was not able to get in touch with the previous owners to setup the ring device in my phone. They suggested me to book a diagnostic service with their technician who will be able to help me setup the device with my account. The on-tech technician came and said there is nothing he can do to fix the issue if I can’t get in touch with the previous owner and then just left. When i called ring customer support they said that the technician should have contacted them to resolve the issue and I ended up solving the issue myself with the help of ring customer support. Not only on-tech smart services did not provide the service that i paid for, their agents gave me false information and they denied to refund my money. On-tech smart services is a scam and their technicians lack the basic skills.

Do Not Hire: horrible experience, customer service is not empowered to do anything but take your request, no one seems to care or know how to reach their techs. They went to the wrong address then was supposed to come out during another timeframe and were no call/no show. Totally disappointed. Now I’ll wait for my refund, let’s hope they get that right.
