When researching solar for my special 35 year old house, I got 5 regional installer quotes via the very good EnergySage.com, and a couple others. But I was put in touch with Onsite by my preferred solar panel maker Silfab, a mostly N. American-made panel.
Well, Onsite's quote was significantly lower, and I liked talking directly with the owner of the company ( Ryon). I was a tough customer, being a retired engineer, and the house had wiring challenges like a remote meter / main switch, and a maxed out breaker panel. Ryon and his team were collaborative & flexible about my successive proposed changes to their component placement on the permitting design drawings. Onsite guided my electrician's upgrade work. And even upgraded the inverter spec to handle a few more panels someday. Ryon gave me a solid tech tip to go with a single inverter instead of per-panel inverters, and even passed on a panel power increase, improving my $/kW's and my NYSERDA rebate.
Onsite waited on a full re-roof before installing the solar system with their disciplined & efficient crew. Getting Orange & Rockland utility permission to operate did hit a snag but then I know how hard it can be to get tech info from big companies. Onsite got that PTO on 2nd try. The neat Solaredge inverter online dashboard shows our nominal 6720 Watt system has sometimes produced 6500 W. The end result value, design layout system performance and quality are ideal from our perspective.

OnSite Energy and Ryon Hayman made the process of getting solar painless and surprisingly easy. After much investigation (5+ solar quotes) we went with OnSite due to a combination of competitive pricing and positive local reviews. The reviews were right...Jack Kusack, Gregg Villman, and their crew Evan Pol and John Diaz were terrific. Up in one (long) day with beautiful work. These guys take pride in a quality installation and it is evident in their work from the panel layout to the awesome electrical conduit work. This is coming from a guy with multiple properties who rarely leaves a contractor review.

My wife and I have had solar panels on our house for 8 years and decided to add panels on our barn that has an apartment with radiant heat on its second floor. Our experience with Onsite Energy was fabulous both times. They were responsive to all our questions and concerns. The work on our barn started in late December and early January of 2023/2024 in rather steady rain, which meant that the electrical work was done on one day when it was raining too hard to put up the panels and then the same two gentlemen returned after the New Year to install the panels. We can't recommend them more highly! Also our project manager, Victoria Slane, was always available to answer questions and keep us informed of the process of the work on our application for grants and loans. And now we can offset the cost of our electricity from Central Hudson with the energy produced by our beautiful panels.
