Olson Solar Energy was great to work with. They came out and easily explained the best placement for the panels. They offered choices to get " Green" Lending and even helped with receipts for my taxes. Cody, my project manager kept me informed of progress and next steps throughout the process. They have been highly responsive to my follow-up questions. The crew were courteous and prompt and they cleaned up any debris from their job. I highly recommend Olson Solar Energy! It wasn't that there weren't some snags and issues along the way (what big technical building project doesn't?), but much more about how they delt with whatever problems arose in the process by fixing them whenever they came up in a reasonable and timely way.
When my wife and I moved into our new home we went through a very mild winter so even though are house was completely powered by electricity (including heat and water) our electric bills weren't too bad. We had looked at various solar options for years so despite our surprisingly low energy costs we decided to go forward with solar panels.
We got several bids, and Olson came in with the most reasonable price but more important, the salesperson, Brandon Aspenson sounded more like an engineer then a sales guy.
The whole project took somewhat longer than we had initially hoped for but, again, in retrospect it all makes sense. The whole process involves multiple professions, local, state and even federal government (including rebates) as well as their differing opinions, ideas and expectations, the energy company (MiEnergy) and who knows what else and somehow it all comes together to make this fantastic source of energy possible. We have only been "harvesting" for a few days but have great confidence Olson did a wonderful job and we will be well pleased years into the future!

I do recommend Olson Solar Energy, the warranty, quality of products they’re using and price speak for themselves. Check out others systems who have had theirs installed by them first if you are unsure-

However this was my experience- Initially communication was great from the initial salesman I worked with, receiving the quote they were the most timely and responsive. Had the best system for my needs and the install/hookup was done about 3 weeks ahead of schedule. Project manager seemed professional and everything seemed like it was going to be a very good experience. There was also an issue with an electrical utility hookup that took 3 weeks for an electrician to come back to fix due to availability(which is understandable and I don’t hold that against them, it was an honest mistake and didn’t harm the system or hold up solar production at all).

The office ladies have always been helpful when I call. I can always get ahold of them.

Otherwise I do like my system, I think the microinverters, panels and the gateway are all performing great and would recommend them and work with them again.

We got our solar panels installed a few years ago (2022) and love them! We had a panel go bad last year, contacted Olsen and it was replaced right away. It’s great to see the support years after our purchase!

The solar panels are great! Olson Solar walked us through everything and everything went smoothly with installation and connecting to the grid. The only downside when we installed was having to wait for installation due to so many people wanting solar from Olson’s but the wait wasn’t long and we’re so happy with it in the end. Solar helps us charge out w electric car and pay our electric bill. Sometimes we have nothing to pay for our electric bill except the monthly electric cooperative fee. We are happy with our choice. I wish we could have put up more panels.

Absolutely fantastic service and communication with Olson. We had another company install or 43 panel system (before I knew about Olson Solar) and our experience was awful from day 1. Olson came in and assessed what we had, fixed the other installers errors and had all 43 panels producing as advertised within a few weeks. Friendly staff and very responsive to our needs and questions. They would be my first call if was ever considering solar energy.

We had an excellent experience getting our solar panels and system set up with Olson Solar Energy. There's two sides to this setup, one is the physical installation of the panels and the cabling etc and the other side is the paperwork that needs to be done with the county and inspectors and Xcel Energy. Olson's took care of all of it both sides were taken care of and we really didn't have to do much besides decide we want to do it! Our energy bills are zero for 11 months of the year. It's only in January when there's less sun that we pay a partial bill. I highly recommend working with this local company to get a big savings on your energy bills for many years to come.
