Since January, getting NYS Essential Power to fix my roof leak has been like pulling teeth. Despite multiple attempts from both me and my salesperson, the company only showed up in March. So far, they’ve lazily painted over two-thirds of the damage with no word on when—or if—they’ll finish the job.

Everyone I’ve spoken to, whether over the phone or in person, gives a different story. One of their own workers admitted that the canopy was installed incorrectly because it makes knocking sounds as it is being rattled & ripped off by the wind, yet there’s been no clear resolution or assurance that my property is even safe.

This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially for an NYC installation that should meet proper standards. This is my second house with this company, and I’m beyond frustrated. I expect a full resolution: a proper, safe reinstallation approved by the NYC Department of Buildings, compensation for the damage and time wasted, and accountability for their incompetence. I’m also making sure others know about this nightmare so they don’t fall into the same trap.

The owner, I believe his name is Sean came out, examined the work personally, answered all of my questions, and was extremely professional. Mike John Tyler & Joe were the team that was sent to set up my solar panels. I couldn’t be happier with a nicer bunch of guys. Beyond polite and respectful of my home. They went above and beyond cutting branches so I can get optimal sunlight. They even made recommendations on what trees need to be trimmed. They also cleaned up after all the setting up.
