I recently experienced a planned power outage by Nevada Energy for maintenance, but received no advance notice. Without any other service options, this is extremely frustrating. Proper notifications should be mandatory so customers can prepare, and there ought to be penalties that benefit those affected when outages occur without warning. Overall, a disappointing experience.

This company needs to be investigated for price gouging.
Customer service agents are more like collection agents—absolutely no Customer Service. Through an agreement with the utility NV Energy, the city receives 100 percent of the energy it needs from renewable sources. Yet my bill keeps going up!!!! They demand Security Deposits, or they will turn off your power. POWER COMPANY MAFIA

Website is broken. Tried to start service moving from out of state. Just kept getting long time outs/system errors. Tried calling the phone only to interact with a garbage beta AI that hallucinated every third word. There is no office to go to that I could find. So finally had to resort to email, which finally landed on a functioning humans’ desk thank the lord. But it still took about 10 back and forth emails to complete. I guess this is what happens when an industry is devoid of capitalism/competition. Thank the lord all our industries aren’t communist monopolies.

I walked in and it was busy. I went to the lobby to sit down and a service person came out and took me to her window and helped me with my payment problem. Customer Service up and above. Problem was solved.

After requesting a call back, Did anyone else receive a call from a Jerry a (female) who is rude and acts like she can’t hear you? Very unprofessional “Jerry” if you need a moment take a break.

What's the point of writing a bad review. NVE is a monopoly. Nothing you can do or say with change anything. The public utilities commission has allowed them to become what they are.

Nv energy is the worst co. ever. They refuse to work with anyone and they keep denying us a corporate number. They are so rude and try to make you feel so little. My mother in law just lost her husband to a heart attack and this company will not work with her. They told her they need the full 1,000 and couldn't take a couple hundred today and a payment every week after. Im blown away that the power company is ran by a bunch of no heart having employees. They could easily work with her and now shes gonna have to go without power and her animals and grandkids are gonna freeze and are gonna have to go without power. Why do they keep denying her a corporate number

Warning: after account closure your bill will show zero. They will then send you a paper bill. Log on your account will still say zero (so why would I pay?) 15 days without getting this payment they will send you to debt collection. No second mail, no email, no call. Just straight to debt collection. This was over $26.50….they sent me to debt collection because of their dumb system NOT showing a balance of $26.50. They could fix this but it’s easier to just say F it. Send this person to debt collection.

20ish years of paying bills, I’ve never been late on a single one. With NV energy for 3 years, not a single late payment but they couldn’t be bothered to give me a single call/email/mail before sending me to debt collection. This should be illegal!
