We lose power weekly, just long enough to de-energize wifi repeaters, reset satellite box and cycle appliances off and on. Why dont you give SMECO a call and see how and why they are so much better than you..........update.......we just went through very windy week and power stayed on...in fairness I gotta raise y'all to a 3.......still not perfect, keeping fingers crossed

I've had them for over a year. Terrible customer service from the start. They are a Co-Op that is ran like an abusive HOA. Had to pay a deposit without explanation as to why (we had just bought the house so yes, we had the normal credit hit from doing so). Ever since then we have had a LOT of flickers, outages, and dirty power (even after replacing our panel and new meter). Their bills and fees are extremely high. They ruined a ton of trees when they, unannounced, came onto my property to trim back trees that weren't even that close! Now I have to pay to have them taken down instead of waiting for them to die and be a falling hazard the next time it's windy. The saddest part in all this is that they just don't seem to even care their customers, many of whom have NO OTHER CHOICE but to use them because of where we live, hate them. If this company really cared they wouldn't continue to gouge us while claiming to save us money AND still continue to publish and mail out a full color magazine every month. Stop doing that and send us the savings. Email works just fine! Just do yourself a favor and check who can provide power before you buy. If you can choose anyone else, do it. This company has ruined my dream of a stress free rural life.

I would give -100 stars if I could!!! I've never experienced power outages anywhere else the way I have in this area having this company for service. We used to have Dominion and I could probably count with one hand how many times the power went out in other areas of King George. Every since we moved and now are under their services power outages happen almost every single week. We've had several electronics damaged bc of this. It's ridiculous!!!! I don't know what the hell they're doing to fix this issues!!! NOTHING

I have been a member with NNEC for one whole year and they are the best hands down. In previous years I had to go through Dominion Power for my electric and it was the WORST! They love taking on fees every month for no reason other then the fact that they know we have to pay it or we will have no power. Trying to get someone on the phone was nearly impossible and it was the only service provider for my location so I was forced to suffer. This past year with NNEC has been nothing but delightful. None of my.bills had any crazy charges on it and they were always reasonable based on the power usage. I thought I was going to be moving and the place I would be moving to NNEC does not service. That is one of the several reasons we decided to stay where we are at. I had to contact them twice regarding the moving issue, once to have the power disconnected and the other to tell them not to disconnect. I emailed them asking for them to call me and within 5 minutes they had called. They were both helpful and friendly. I look forward to another year with NNEC!!!

They’re okay. I wish they would stop wasting our money publishing they’re own magazine, what a stupid way for an utility company to burn cash. The same with the yearly raffle, does not sound like the best way to spend our money, considering it’s a coop. Just keep the lights on.

I've had nothing but positive experiences and results when dealing with NNEC. My hobby is Amateur Radio and whenever I've had a problem with "electrical noise" from radiating powerlines. Or, issues where I just needed them to kill the power to my house while we're working on towers and antennas that were located near their incoming 7200 VAC feedline, they are here quickly. They have always gone out of their way to make sure we're satisfied and that the problem is resolved.

I've had to deal with large electrical power companies in the past, and if they make it out to your house to address an AC powerline noise issue, that you have reported, you're lucky if they show up in six months! NNEC is there in several hours and works to locate the problem and fix it.

Hat's off to all of the staff and professionals at Northern Neck Electrical!

The Northern Neck is a very beautiful rural area with tons of back roads and old growth forests so thank goodness for the Northern Neck Electric Cooperative. I called to report an outtage and they already had a team on the way! We even get rebates sometimes!

This is my only option for where I live. The downfalls are for 4 months out of the year the rates conviently go up almost exactly $100 per month. Now I know their answer is your using more due to the colder temperatures. I’m
