I lived in Oceanside; CA and I first went with Nexus Energy Systems back in February 2022 when I was looking to add a second solar system to increase the size of my overall system on the roof. I found Nexus to be very helpful answering all my questions, knowledgeable and professional. I have had solar panels for almost 17 years and when my original converter broke down, I immediately called Nexus to replace the older system with Nexus. I could not be happier with my system today and it's so easy to monitor from the app.

Nexus Solar cheated me on the contract. They offered quotation in writing, but had higher price on the contract which they never provide a copy of signed contract back to me. The contract I signed online had same info as they quoted, but when the service turn on, the payment is much higher.

With the 32 panels installed, my payment to the solar contract is at $421 / month they billed, but got bill from SCE is $329.84 / July, $413.52 / Aug, $276.38 / Sept, $375.39 / Oct.

I have been emailing and calling Nexus Energy and SCE, but got no response from none of them.

Sharing this bad experience with everyone. Hope you will not get cheated.

Beware! They lied to me because they wanted to beat other solar companies quotes so I was sold less panels than what was needed to beat the quote. Now their response is to buy more panels.

I think everyone should come forward. I have spoken to soo many people who have been scammed, lied to and then ignored by these people. I had very similar situation to the negative reviews listed here. I'm not sure if the positive reviews are paid for because I haven't heard anything positive except for when you first encounter the initial person who does most of the lying. I have reached out to everyone and no response after the initial complaint about them not accessing things correctly. So I now have a bill from Edison (Due NOW) for $700. When I told them my bill is the same as it was when they accessed the years worth of usage the response was ridiculous. I was told that I can buy more panels. I was charged $36K total and I have a monthly bill from finance company, a lump sum (1st bill $700) annually and I need to buy more panels and/or batteries. This was totally a scam. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THESE PEOPLE!

I have solar (FROM A DIFFERENT COMPANY - THANK GOD) on my other house and had none of these problems. I tried calling around to them and others to see if I could do anything and bottom line is I was screwed due to lack of knowledge and negligence on this company's part (I was told " unfortunately this happens all the time with these fly by night companies") and now I am stuck with it. I cant get more panels or a battery from any other company because different companies use different types of panels and the companies that have the same panels you have to buy at least 8 additional panels which is thousands of dollars. SMH! There should be consequences for companies like this.

I gave you all the short version because it has been one problem to the next and my next move is the Better Business Bureau. This is not ok that I am pay two different companies for electric use.

We purchased Solar with Nexus back in 2016. After coming home to scratched panels, incorrect hardware (should have been black to match the panels), holes in the roof and exposed wiring in the garage I hand to take the next 2 days off work to monitor the rest of the installation. After 2 weeks of back and forth it was finally completed. I couldn’t be happier with the system however, the service itself was horrible.
In 2020 I wanted to add batteries to the system. Getting a hold of Nexus is like pulling teeth. Since any other company, installing the batteries will void the 25 year Nexus warranty I am held hostage byNexus.
It’s going on three years now and still no reply or quote on battery system from Nexus.
I do not recommend using these guys.

Ryan even called me to explain the cool way that we can monitor our panels’ performance online, create daily, weekly, And monthly reports and graphs. So far, we are very pleased with Nexus. I don’t have any doubt that whatever may happen in the future will be will be resolved fairly and to my satisfaction. There are many solar companies out there to choose from. Choose one that is really invested in its customers’ satisfaction.

From sales person to install, and amazing experience. Was able to be up and running in less than four weeks from sign up. Install crew was fast had the job installed in one day. Color matched our stucco on all related piping and upgraded main panel with ease. Would highly recommend Nexus to all.

The Nexus Energy Systems team (sales, project management, installers, management) are fabulous! We've had great experiences with them, they go above and beyond. They installed our system about a year ago, and when we got our electric car we had them come back and upgraded our system to give us extra capacity. At every step of the way, from sales to post-customer support, the Nexus team has always been pleasant, prompt with their replies, on-time with delivery, on-budget, explained everything and answered all our questions. I highly recommend them!
