I didn't really notice any cost saving, even though it was shown on my bill. It seemed to me like I was actually paying more each month but I admit I wasn't keeping track that closely. What really annoyed me was trying to cancel. I was told they would continue billing me for another 90 days after I made my cancellation because their billing was three months behind. However, I had copies of all the bills I paid for previous months right up to the current month, so that was not accurate. I was also told I would receive an email confirming my cancellation, which I never received. I am going to have to have my bank stop auto paying Nexamp, as they do not seem trustworthy.

I hope it will improve soon but so far the experience has been lousy at best. We've signed up in April 23, get off wait-list in August. So far we've only seen 2 credits posted out of 5 months since activation. One month on, one month off. There is no explanation why this is happening. We have seen maybe 60 bucks saving out of 2.5K. Really not worth the effort.
Judging from the inconsistent credits, we are looking at 3% saving, instead of 12.5% as promised. Customer service basically say we have to live with the on again off again credit applying to the account.

Update 1/8/2025: Now we are back-billed for credits that we'd never received in October. Just as I anticipated. Things go downhill fast. Stay away.

It's hard to tell if I'm saving the advertised 10% because their billing operation is so screwed up. They claim this is partly because they get late and/or incorrect from National Grid. This may or may not be true, but what I see is high bills supposedly because of multiple cycles billed at once. Occasionally, they claim the problem has been fixed, but it never is. Also, and unlike virtually all companies I've encountered, they insist on saving my credit card number as a default, rather than making that an opt-in feature. I've asked them multiple times to change this. They say they'll "look into it" but it's been years and there is no change--very frustrating. I'm sticking with them, for now, but, as I say, their billing operation leaves much to be desired.

Have been a member of Nexamp since early on. Over the time frame of a few years we have saved over $500 in electricity costs. Recently moved and waiting to reestablish our account. Recommend without any reservations.

Have had no issues since being activated. Savings are identified and
displayed clearly, and they help our budget. I would recommend this option for convenience, for financial benefits and the clean feeling that you are doing something positive for the environment.

Unfortunately, I can solidly say, that at least as a Maine resident, I would recommend to AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. They do not communicate well, getting someone to call back seems to be a task of Herculean proportions, and you also seem to get different information from different people you talk to. Also be very very careful to not have more than one of these companies at any given time. Beware with this and all other solar companies offering credits in ME. There is no CHECKS AND BALANCES IN PLACE to oprevent a customer from having two systems set up, so BOTH companies will charge you the same amount as a "bill", after your "savings". They are not interested in confirming they would be the only solar company on file or that you didn't have one already. So basically you can be double billed by two different companies at the same time, in this way.

Update. I asked to sever service with this company on Oct 8th. I was told it would take three months and I would be done with any bills in mid-January. I am STILL getting bills and they are saying I will get one AFTER this as well. Truly a terrible company to work with, at least here in Maine. They have lied to be specifically and made things more challenging that it should be. It almost seems like deceptive business practices. And the response to this initial review also lied. They were not working on my account or any issues related to it. It was just them trying to cover their tracks, at least as it relates to my experience.

Billing system is atrocious: they sit on any mailed check, whether from a customer or customer's bank bill payer service, for almost TWO WEEKS then send threatening notices saying your account is overdue. They want you to sign up for auto pay but since the amount changes monthly, that's not a good idea. They don't have electronic bill pay...why not? Very poor customer service: up to 4 days wait to get a call back from a supervisor. Ugh.

01/31/25, 7:20 am. Nexamp pick up truck driving west on route 2 Massachusetts, between exits 96 and 95 Leominster/Fitchburg. A pickup truck driver almost killed me this morning. I was next to the truck he came into my lane. I beeped my horn. He pulled back out for a second and then aggressively came back into my lane against the side of my car, forcing me into the guard rail. I had to slam on my brakes and narrowly missing a deadly collision. These are the kind of people that are installing solar panels at people’s homes? I would not have these people anywhere near my home or family. License plate was W91–334 Massachusetts. I have reported them to the state police.
