Warning!!!!! Don't waste your money and time to Newby Island, their pricing is way out of the line. They charge me $160 for a half load wood planks, I was really shocked, I turned back to Fremont transfer station with a minimum pay of $48 bucks, never try Newby island anymore

Warning! The minimum charge to drop off trash here is $61.77! I went to another dump in San Jose expecting to pay $28 to drop off some trash we had accumulated after moving, but they didn't take food waste, so they directed me to Newby Island. Everyone there was nice but the prices are super high! I met a couple of guys who had to pay almost $200 to drop off a couch and a mattress.

Got threatened by one of the dump truck drivers bringing in a load of dirt, not very thrilled about it, never bring anything here, ran very poorly and nothing is in order as well as nobody knows what goes where or who goes where

went there on my free Newark resident pass as I needed to get rid of some stuff. I have some advice to give since sooner of later you'll need to go:
*take an old truck - you have to drive up a hill and into the mud a little. I would cringe at having to clean that sludge off a new vehicle
*put something over your shoes that you can throw away when finished. that mud is sticky
