Mike was extremely thorough with his quotes and reviewed every aspect what was needed to fulfill my electrical needs. Taylor kept me informed every week on the status of my project and I was never left without knowing at any time what was going on. Having a project manager background myself she is by far the best project manager I’ve dealt with. As I’m writing this review, my system was just installed and I am currently waiting for a National Grid to install the net meter. I am very happy with the service and responsiveness I’ve received from New England Clean Energy. Now to the installation crew, they are the hardest workers I’ve ever seen and these guys just don’t quit. They are very detailed oriented and wanted to make sure house looked as good as before I installed the solar panels. I was extremely impressed by the extra work and care they took to make sure the wiring and interconnections could be hidden as much as possible. I would highly recommend to anyone this company!!! Of all the quotes that I got for solar, New England Clean Energy (NECE) were the only ones who came in person. Everyone else did Zoom calls and provided quotes via Aurora (the tool they all use). You had to sign a contract to have them come on sight and do any inspections. Meanwhile Todd from NECE came to the house, looked at the roof and in the attic, and then got to the quote and schpiel. Made me feel at ease from the start, but then the rest of the way they were amazing and ahead of schedule! I would recommend them to anyone I know looking for solar.

Back in 2015 my neighbor recommended Clean Energy to install my solar system. They did a fantastic job then and I recently had a backup battery system installed, different crew but same professional and dedicated team did the work. Very impressed with the knowledge and workmanship. Must be the company culture.

There are many excellent solar energy companies out there. For us though, New England Clean Energy is the best of the best. We chose them for three main reasons:

1. Personal recommendation. Online reviews help to narrow down the list of candidates, but a personal recommendation goes even farther. An engineer friend of ours recommended them based on his own experience.

2. Fewer solar panels. New England Clean Energy offers higher wattage panels, so fewer were needed to cover our energy consumption.

3. Hidden electrical conduits. We've seen other solar installations where unsightly conduits and the Enphase box are visible from the street. New England Clean Energy came up with a solution that hid them all, resulting in a much cleaner look.

The staff at New England Clean Energy are outstanding. Whether it's sales, project management, installation or admin, they all are knowledgeable, courteous and professional. For all of these reasons, we highly recommend New England Clean Energy for your solar project.

We installed our panels 7 years ago on our barn with New England Clean Energy and the process and installation went great. Our roof was only one year old at the find so we had hopes that our investment would last for a while. Fast forward to last year, we started noticing water damage in the barn ceiling. We called New England Clean Energy to come out and take a look but they said the leak was not from the panels. We hired a roofer to take a look and he went up on a ladder and found that the sealant on a solar panel bracket had failed and water was leaking through this failure point. New England Clean Energy came out and helped remove the panels at no cost so that we could replace the roof and repair the damage, but the actual roof replacement costs was out of our own pocket. This time with the roof we had ice and water shield installed over the entire roof (if you are getting solar panels, I recommend your roof to have this as a prerequisite and not just a new/recent roof) and then New England Clean Energy came back out and placed the panels back. However, during the move or storage of the solar panels, one solar panel was damaged. This was end of last year and we are still waiting on New England Clean Energy to be able to get a replacement for the damaged solar panel.

The entire experience with NECE was fantastic, from the initial sales discussions with the owner, Mark, to the communication with the office team and the actual installation. Mark has a highly technical sales approach and truly knows his stuff. Among all my interactions with other companies, Mark was the most honest and knowledgeable. On installation day, they exceeded expectations by going above and beyond, spending almost the entire day exploring all possibilities to find a way to wire the panels through the roof, down the walls, and into the basement so that no conduit would be visible on the exterior - much appreciated!

I was very impressed with the people and entire process from sales through installation. The sales person was extremely knowledgeable about how to design the system and also educate me on how it works. He was very responsive to my many questions I had throughout the entire process.

The installation team was probably the best experience I've ever had with a contractor. They accommodated my requests to make some adjustments on how the brackets were to be installed and were also always responsive to phone calls and emails. Not once did I wait for them to get back to me. They also installed some monitoring equipment for me, twice! No charge. They were very friendly, organized, and knew exactly what they were doing.

It was a pleasure working with this business. From Mike McD from the very beginning to JJ and the entire crew that worked in 24 degree weather with over a foot of snow on the ground installing our 24 roof panels. Communication from the office and project leader was excellent, they really hold your hand and leave no surprises throughout the process.

Everyone was very patient, professional, respectful and kind.

We have the final electrical inspection this week and are very excited to get the system going. It looks great, everything is clean and organized- they did an excellent job.
