I contracted with Momentum Solar in 2021. The Momentum representative(Mathew) whom I signed the contract with told me that I will receive a 500$ sign on bonus within a month of panels installation. 6 months passed and I didn’t get any bonus. I called Mathew the representative and he told me he is no more with Momentum Solar and I have to call the customer service. When I called the customer service probably 4 or 5 times, they told me the bonus didn’t exist meaning that the representative had lied to me.

Secondly 3-4 months after the installation, my garage roof started to leak pretty bad. I called Momentum every day 2-3 times for almost 4-5 weeks to send someone to fix my leak. They finally sent someone after 5 weeks and removed the panels and fixed the leak. The panels were sitting in my garage for 3 months and I was again calling them every day to come and reinstall them. The customer service was always saying that they are new in Texas didn’t have enough staffing.
Again this year in 2024 my bedroom started to leak very bad and I sent Momentum Solar the videos and pictures of the leak and called them every day 3-4 times for 4 weeks to fix my roof and they were still saying they have very limited service in Austin and it takes time for them to come and even one of the customer service representatives told me I have to wait till the bedroom roof caves. Finally they came and they made excuses and said they are unable to fix the leak even though it was under the panels. I finally talked to a roofing company to come and inspect my roof and and the inspector after inspection of my roof told me that most damage was caused by the panels installer and they did a pretty bad job. and now I have to replace my roof. they told me that I have to replace my roof. When I called Momentum Solar to remove the panels so that the roofing company can replace my roof, they demanded that I should pay them 5570$ in order to remove and reinstall the panels.
To be honest, Momentum Solar is not worth of even one star. Please avoid using their services and I am going to report them to the licensing department and want to cancel my contract with them. I am not going to pay them if they have no services to deliver for me.

We was sold a solar system with promises of lower energy bills and financial benefits. Instead, I ended up with ballooning loan payments, electric bills still over $300, and a system that shuts down during outages. Nobody explained that I’d need to pay thousands more for batteries. Dividend Finance and Momentum Solar both pointed fingers at each other when I raised concerns. Worst part? No city permit was ever filed. Stay far away from this scam.

My husband and I decided we were ready for solar maybe 8yrs ago. Decided on Momentum based on their good reviews. The salesman assured us we would be able to have the solar panels removed and installed for free one time. We had our roof looked at this year by our insurance and was told we need a new roof. Called Momentum and was told we do not have it in writing, so therefore it will not be done for free. Of course I looked everywhere. While speaking to them I was told to call the finance company. Called said finance company and their response was no, they don't keep, nor would they have that warranty. The salesman we used no longer works for them. So another words, we were lied to and screwef

Worst provider ever! What they promised versus what was actually delivered in terms of installation and customer support is terrible. On the installation day, they came with a different plan that had a lower estimate than what I originally agreed to. After arguing for several hours, they finally changed the plan and guaranteed the estimated production. However, a year later, they are simply denying everything and saying, ‘Do whatever you want, we can’t help.’ There is no accountability or responsibility—they’re just looting money. The actual solar panel generation was almost 1,500 kWh lower than their estimate. When I questioned this, they dismissed it as just an estimate, even though the sales rep assured me it accounted for all weather and climate conditions and promised even higher generation. They even stated in the agreement that there would be 0% degradation. Overall, I’m extremely disappointed. If I had the chance, I would cancel the agreement immediately, even if it meant losing money. I don’t want this unsupported system on my roof. I strongly urge others not to choose this company as their provider.

I’ve been dealing with a roof leak caused by their solar panel installation. I’ve been calling them about it since December. 2 months later and the roof is still leaking. This is a brand new house and within 1 year of solar installation, they’ve managed to ruin my roof. Worst customer service. Will never go with momentum solar ever again and would NEVER recommend to others.

We’ve had our solar panel system for a little over 3 months now and we’re very happy with the product and company. James Garbo was our salesman and he was crystal clear on the technology, process and pricing. The crew who did the installation was incredibly polite and informative on the process, how long it’d take to install and how it all worked. They also kept their work area and our attic clean. Momentum took care of all the HOA and city documentation and will keep you in the loop on approvals. The Momentum app you use to monitor your solar energy production is easy to use. If you’re serious about getting a solar panel system give these guys a call, you won’t regret it.

Momentum solar changed their name to Home Solar incentives to avoid taking responsibility for their bad reviews. I had a great experience with the sale and install but after install support is basically non existent. The "customer service" is basically non-existent. After 5 years I have pieces falling off my roof. The system doesn't produce what they said it would, not has it ever. I've been waiting 3 months for someone to schedule the removal. Over 3 months of waiting just to have me schedule something, no joke!
I love solar and it's better than having a higher power bill that keeps going up, but come on. And clearly you don't aim to do better because you changed your name on Google!

Last week after my posting of the review below, I got a call from Momentum management.

They promised they will send someone who has the knowledge to fix the problem.

Today, the installers came and took care of the 8 micro inverters that were not working.

I am back to 100% production

I initially reported this problem on May 21 2024

Initially they did send a installer who went to the roof and there was nothing wrong there and a fuse needs to be changed.

He was missing a fuse and said he will go bring it

Later he texted and said his manager will come and replace as he has some in his truck (on Jun 26th)

It has been 4 months and 10+ phone calls and emails and charing me $400, my problem is still not fixed.

Buyer beware, I have lost confidence that they know really how to maintain the system they installed a few years back.
