I love this place, even walking in the building. Educates reams about lots of stuff. Check out the fireplace one of those where you can just build one fire a day and then it radiates the whole rest of the day. Or the sundial outside or the renewable bamboo floors or the solar heated floors or the wind turbines outside or.... Tons and tons of resources to learn about and do things yourself if you want. Or get an installer if you want that. Too.

I love the MREA! They have a great staff of passionate, knowledgeable employees that truly care about renewable energy. I suggest getting involved with one of their many volunteer programs. I've volunteered at their Energy Fair and their Go Solar initiative in Milwaukee. They also have great fast charging up at their place in Custer, so if you want to bring up your EV, you won't have to worry about having enough charge to start heading back home.

DC fast charging island in the middle of the Level 2 ocean of Northern and Central Wisconsin. 50 KW charger available through Greenlots app for minimal charge. Free Level 2 charges. Has a renewable energy visitor center during the day and it's great place to let the kids run around.

50kW DCFC currently $.40/kWh + $1 transaction fee to use 24/7. Use credit card or smartphone tap to pay at yellow credit reader. Connect CCS or CHAdeMO connector to vehicle, wait for card reader payment prompt, pay and charging begins. Press stop on charger screen to finish charging. Adapters to connect TESLA for both located inside. 7 ClipperCreek and 1 Tesla destination charger(s) are free (donation suggested). Renewable energy education and demonstration non-profit. 20 acres to walk around, picnic tables and benches all around while you charge.

Really great! Fast charging station with 24h bathroom. The bathrooms have showers and are mostly handicapped accessible though there isn't a paved path to them from the parking area, just a gravel path with a small snowbank to get through. Also lots of free informational packets and decals. It's a nice place that I'd recommend stopping at anytime on a road trip. I highly recommend it.
