Dear Mr. Embry
I know this has to hurt to be a victim of this. I can’t imagine the suffering that you’re going through.
I’m gonna make a couple suggestions just so you don’t have to go through anything like this again anywhere.
Be respectful for other peoples time, if you know it’s getting close to quitting time try not to be overly needy that’s could put somebody in a bad mood who has plans or has kids at home some of that effect.
If you had agreed price on this, maybe deal with the person that gave you the price.
I just throw out the suggestions because I’ve known Mark for many years. He’s a standup guy you sound like you might have a stick up your ass.

Mark decided to charge me double for making him stay until 5 pm. Arrived 15 minutes before close and he became irate. Over charged me $600. It took him longer to adjust the price in the computer than it did to cut the wire and still walked out the door before 5 pm. I called the following day to follow up about the price increase (which I didn’t catch until after I left), they refunded me the over charged amount after another 50 mile trip to Pensacola. One person stated I was charged extra (double) for an “overtime rate”, clearly my receipt showed checked out before 5 PM. The manager stated there was no “overtime rate” that he would handle the situation. When I arrived for my refund Mark wouldn’t look at me, nor offered an apology. I waited several months to post a review because I didn’t want to do so while mad, but others need to beware of Mark and watch your receipts. I had family members (electrical contractors) who have done business with Mathes for years that started doing business at other supply houses.

We went into their showroom today, at 1030 AM to purchase a floor lamp for our home. There were four employees siting at deals, doing nothing. Not one of them got up and greeted us, even though there was no one else in the store. When one of them did ask what we wanted, we stated we were looking for a floor lamp for our home. They said thy did not have what we wanted but we could look at the catalog and order one. I can do that at. Home! No help, no one ever got off heir butt! No wonder brick and mortar stores are failing. His one should close now! We will never return.

Well they did answer the phone...I was looking for 1-1/4 & 2 1/2 EMT in 20' sticks, They told me they don't carry EMT in 20', ask if they could order it for me as Wheatland and Western Tube both make it, I was just looking for 6 sticks to start, but would need on a regular basis for my business. Was told I'd have to buy a whole truck load, Really a whole truck load ? Way to earn a customer guys!

Looks like nice place with alot of selection. Man at counter was clueless to what I was asking for.
Looking for outside box with one spot for a breaker and one electric plug.
Thought he would have at least made a few suggestions as to what they stock that would work. BUT he did not
Lost my business - will NOT recommend this place !!!

I called to see if they had a tool I needed. I need this tool to use once in a while. Tom ( I think that was his name) said they have a version of this tool in stock but it was well over $200. The version I am looking for is only about $40 or so. He said the tool I was looking for is for people that could not afford the "real" tool. Needless to say, I think saying that to a customer is not appropriate and very poor customer service. I will make sure to NEVER call or purchase anything from them.
