Elaine was a great tutor. Not only were her explanations to challenging questions easy to understand, but she gave me techniques to make my studying the most effective and helped set expectations. There were some hiccups in the beginning with getting access to the right courses - but Elaine advocated for me to get access to the advanced syllabus, when customer service originally said I was unable to. I took the exam once and got an OK score, but she encouraged me to take the exam again. This push was exactly what I needed and was able to score 60 points higher the second time I took the exam. We spent the majority of my time focusing on the Quant section - which was my biggest area of weakness - and I ended up getting a perfect score on this section. Her guidance was crucial to my success and would recommend her to anyone studying for the GMAT!

I would highly recommend Manhattan Prep for GMAT tutoring. Josh Yardley was extremely knowledgable and knew the exam back to front. In the 4 months I was working with him, my score improved 140 points. I only took the test once and my ultimate score was higher than my outside goal at the beginning of the course. Josh did a great job of assigning work and relevant practice problems. We were able to hone in on specific skills that I needed to work on. Breaking up the test made it a lot more manageable and I really appreciated the structure. I did a GMAT prep class with Elaine Loh and I have also done tutoring with Elaine. Elaine is the best teacher that I have ever had. Elaine's knowledge and ability to teach the GMAT is superb. She knows all of the tricks and tips to use and she is the master of the GMAT. Elaine is also extremely powerful in how she teaches and how she can relate to the students. Elaine is very easy to talk to and extremely warm. I have seen her relate to all different types of personalities and teaching styles. Elaine helped me bump up my score by 200+ points. She was ESSENTIAL in my success on the GMAT and I would recommend Elaine to anyone, any personality and any teaching style. I took GMAT two weeks ago and got a 710. Jamie and other Manhattan instructors have helped me achieve my goal score. The 9 week online course covers most basic concepts that you will see on the real test. The books are fantastic; they provide you with most things you need to know about the GMAT. If you are on the fence about about taking the course, please don't be. I can tell that the quality of teaching here is outstanding. The instructor I had, Jamie, was probably one of the most caring instructors I have ever had.

I absolutely recommend Manhattan Prep as a great choice for GMAT prep. I took a 10-week class and participated in private tutoring. With the learning and support I got from MPrep, I was able to get a score I am really happy with.

Elaine L's class is absolutely wonderful. She makes learning about GMAT question strategies fun (yes, fun!) and helps keep the process super positive. After the first class, I already felt so much better about how to go about completing specific problem types and felt that the test was definitely something I could conquer. If you're thinking about utilizing a test prep company, Manhattan Prep is a great company in terms of the resources they provide (books, blog posts, practice tests, etc.) and the instructors are awesome.

I had a great experience with Manhattan Prep! My starting practice GMAT score was 560 and my final official score was 710. A 150 point increase!! I took the class in NYC with Reed Arnold, and I highly recommend taking the course with him. He made the classes very enjoyable, and he scheduled weekly "study groups" at a nearby coffee shop for students to get extra help from him and other classmates. The Manhattan Prep guide books were a great resource, too.

I took the ManhattanPrep classes early in 2016 and highly recommend the course. The classes and material were great and helped me study to take the GMAT and get a score over 700. The books and online material are very streamlined so you study in the most efficient manner and don't waste time learning or doing things that won't help. Our instructor, Christine, was a lot of fun. Make no mistake though, the study and homework workload is heavy. I'd say 10-20 hrs per week.
